I took to pictures of my daughter lastnight and used 500watt halogen shop lights, they were awful...Is there anyway to use these lights for pictures, but add something more to the scene or to the lights to make great photos? I would like to have some kind of light for different moods in the photo. How can this be done? I`m needing any light that will not cost alot right now, I just need something for lots of practice. I have done all of my photos outside up until now, no problem there.
Should my light be on both sides of the subject and behind?
Also I have 18-55 mm and 70-300mm Lens, are these the lenes I need to make good pic of people?
Canon Digital Rebel

I know I already posted this but I’m not sure if I put it in a good category...
Or maybe it's a boring question.

But I've heard you can tell a lot by someone’s eyes and I would like to know what you see in these. Thanks!

I just made several photo collages in paint which I wanted to print, but when I upload them to photo websites, they warn me that the images are too low-resolution and won't turn out well.

I made the images as 4x6 inch jpegs. Why are they being flagged as low resolution? How bad are they going to look? What can I do to make the quality better?

I'd really like to salvage these, I just spent a lot of time working on them.

I don't want to spend a bunch of money and I live in a pretty rural area so processing may be a factor. Thanks for any advice.

I have old picture's of my family that I'm tring to restore. I am using adobe 7 and its taking forever. I am scaning the picture in and retouching them using the cloning tool in adobe. The pictures have crack marks in them and white specks and some are faded. Is there a program that I can use that will automaticly fix them? A free program would be perfered. I have over 200 photos to restore.

Okay, I have a couple old photos from my grandparents era (50's) in black/white format. They are starting to show their age and have a couple rub marks on them. I want to update the pictures or print out new ones of the same picture but so that they look fresh and new. Basically, take an old photo and either make it look newer or have a new picture of the old one. Is there any software that I could try and do it myself at home or is it better to just take it someplace for them to try and fix it.? Anyone done this before?

I'm really interested in photography. I haven't gone to college yet. But I want to photograph weddings. Is it possible to do that without a degree? What can I do to be a photographer? Should I just start a portfolio? Or do I HAVE to get a degree in Fine Arts to be a photographer?
I'm obviously just starting and not really sure where to begin. Any advise would help. Thanks.

Believe me, I'm not complaining. Just curious. It seems as though you see barefoot pics more and more these days, in everything from advertisements to high school yearbooks.

Can someone give me some ideas for cheap backdrops, good lighting and anything else I might need for a small indoor studio that will not break the bank, that I can practice with. I’m just learning photography and have done most of my pictures outdoors. I need a lot of practice with indoor photos and different lighting.
How much is Adobe Photoshop now?
IS there anything as good as Photoshop, but less expensive
Any tips about indoor photography will be greatly appreciated
