how do you make and sell posters for a profit?

I have a neg and an 8x10 of a photo I want to turn into a poster. It will have some words on it 3 of them. I would start at 500 posters

if you are going to go with that many don't have them digitally printed they will cost too much unles you print a few then sell a few and then print some more. you can have the neg scanned and then printed by a regular but good print shop as an offset lithograph in full color. They will print the run of 500 all at once and trim them for you for a set fee divide that fee by 500 and you will know what each cost you plus your scan and setup fee which is a one time thing ...that way when you sell then you already know how much each one has cost you and adjust your selling price price accordingly
