SO - go to a modelling agency near you - look them up in Yellow Pages?
Ask them if they could recommend a local studio/photographer that specialises in model-portfolio work.
Again, to repeat someone above, do not go alone.

Have it done in paris, jamaica on a resort, miami and thats pretty much the best places unless you have been there to do some of your portfolio already.

check around with several modeling agency's or any models that you know and see who they recommend just any professional will not do just because they shot for money does not mean that they are any good at glam shots you will start to hear a name mentioned several times one who is good at their art, charges fairly, gets the work down on time and is easy to work with attempt to use that person and the individual who suggested that you take someone with you is correct but make it someone who you know well and really relax around so that your shots will be as natural as that can be maybe even take some mags shots of models whose poses you really like and try to go for that look if you think that it suits you above all listen to the pro that you choose nothing is not wasting of time and money than getting a good pro at something and then not listening to them good luck if you could appear on the cover of any mag which one would it be?

are you good looking? cos if you are you shouldnt be bothered. you could get it done anywhere thats interested in you. do you know how much they cost for a couple of photos? i think your family could do better for you if they are one hundred percent behind you.
