Hello fellow yahooers...
I am looking for ANYONE who knows of any dark photographers and I dont mean dark as in the dark I mean dark as in depressing or "goth" or well...you get my point. Or if anyone can tell me any photographers who take photos of club scenes that would be nice too. The thing is the photographers have to take black and white prints and have to be somewhat well known not just some teenager expierimenting with a camera. If anyone knows any names or websites involving any of the above that would be MUCH APPRECIATED and I would forever worship whoever tells me of a good one I can use for a project Im doing.

Much Thanks
-Disco

Joel Peter Witkin, William Mortensen, and Weegee are some photographers you might want to check out. Luc Sante's book Evidence, and the book Sleeping Beauty by The Burns Archive. Most are not for the squeamish, but very beautiful if you are into the morbid side of life. For video, check out the Brothers Quay.(And find out who Tool blatantly ripped off for their videos)

Hi there! Welcome to the 60D's world. I have a 60D and I totally love it. I would say dark photography or night photography - however you wanna call it - is never a problem for DSLRs. Low light videography is even more outstanding. Compared to compact cameras that cost 300$, 60D can do much more decent job, giving more than what you pay for. Using a lens with bigger aperture (=the number f/1.x is smaller), it allows a lot of light into the camera, and you are in control. Of course, T3 or T3i is doing good too. I just shoot a one minute footage indoor using one light (35w daylight), the image quality appears to be fine. You can check out the link below. The ISO and aperture is also stated in the video. And yes it is on a tripod.
