my best friend is dead set on modeling. she is a gorgeous girl and has done some modeling in the past. she is currently in the oklahoma city area and is in need of a photographer. does anyone know where she can find a profesional photographer? ( i.e. not some creepy guy with a polaroid camera and some time to kill)

I lived in, and went to photography school in Oklahoma City! So, I would suggest a wonderful gentleman named Hal Adamson. He is listed in the yellow pages or you can find him at the Oklahoma School of Photography. He is a well experienced pro photographer and he was a professor of mine. For a different experience, I could suggest MotoPhoto in Crossroads Mall. They do a great job as well. Good luck to you.

You have to ask yourself if it's worth losing your family (husband) over. You would not lose your child. No matter what he says, that just won't happen. The other thing that concerns me is this: when I read your letter I see (hear) a person with very low self-esteem. Nobody is going to make you feel better about yourself than you. Modeling WILL NOT do that for you. Because everytime you don't get the job, you are going to feel "rejected". Why don't you work on your own self-esteem. If your husband loves you then look at yourself through his eyes. To succeed at modeling you have to have a very high opinion of yourself, total self-confidence, a high self-esteem. Because that is what comes across through the pictures. Only you can make the choice over which is more important. Make your decision and then don't look back. Just look forward and make "that" dream come true. Which ever one it may be. Good luck. I wish you the best :)

Check out the local university for rising star photographers...!
Go to the modeling agencies and see who they use.
Look into the trade magazines.

Sorry, any woman who wants to get into modeling must realize all guys with a camera are creepy. They say they do it for the "art" but actually they are just creeps. I quit doing polaroids because they figured that one out. I now use a casio. Iif they're dumb enough to fall for that one, they've got a future in the world of high fashion.
