I have taken many pictures over the past few years and have been urged on by friends and co-workers to look into selling some of my pictures. If I am contacted, I would be willing to discuss this.

I do not want to take pictures of art but of archaeological objects does this affect the copyright, surely if the museum has said one can photograph the items the photographs (of those items) are mine. The archaeological items in the museums belong to the British public and Museums are the caretakers of such items, surely that means I can use those photographs as I see fit. I know this does not apply to art work but would this apply to archaeological items?

I just got a new camera so I'm in "Take Photos Of Everything!" mode, and I decided to get some shots of the Christmas decorations in a shopping centre. I'm always careful to get no people in the photos because I know that can cause problems, and sometimes I post the shots on the Internet, and I know I wouldn't want my ugly mug on the Internet without my permission. Anyway, I'd taken a few pictures and I was just taking another one, when this guy who looked like he worked there yelled "Excuse me!" from the escalator and made this wave, like 'Stop that please'. So I put the camera away and left, to take pictures of pigeons or something instead.

My question is, what was his problem? Is there a rule against taking pictures in shopping centres? Not even in the shops, just out on the mall floor? If there is, I won't do it, but I'd like to know for sure. I guess I need to find out the rules now I have my own camera.

I have irfanview 3.98 but I can't figure out how to sharpen images on it. It has an option that says sharpen, but when I click on it, it doesn't seem to do anything, also how to use the redeye feature.
Thanks for your help!

We're going pretty inexpensive at my wedding and so not hiring a professional photographer. I'm going to hand my pretty decent camera off to a friend or family member to get shots (I'm in the "prosumer" range myself but can't really photograph my own wedding :) ), but I'd like to whip up a list of shots to get, i.e. vows, walks down the aisle, closeup of rings being slid onto hands, etc. I'm afraid if I don't specify at least a little it will be several of the same shot. The people I'm considering will be find with such a list, so if you're a professional photographer (especially wedding) or have experience from a wedding, lemme know what shots I'll want but might not be thinking of.

P.S. We're putting disposable cameras on the tables at the reception, so I think we'll have a good amount of group shots from that.

it doesn't teach photography, it just displays thousands and thousands of beautiful photos that are organized into a whole bunch of categories, ie religions, countries, nature, etc. does anybody happen to know what that name of the site (or a similar site) is?

One photo in particular has a detail of four kids in halloween costumes, but their faces are clearly visable. I have been told that because it was a public grouping I do not need a legal binding release to market the image. Is this true?

I signed up for a photography class because I'm really into photography but I don't feel like going to the class today because it's boring. Does that mean I don't really like photography?

I have been doing street photograpy for a while now but I have always done it in color and I realize some others have (Helen Levitt's and Esther Bubley's color work for example; or Alex Webb) but it seems most people seem to think that it still has to be done in b&w to be considered "artistic". Examples of my work can be found in the link below.

I am doing a fact sheet as a project in Word 2003 and I have a block that I have a photo in the left corner and I would like to put part of the header at the right side of the photo and at the bottom of it. The header is long and it would just look better to have it at the side instead of a two line header at the bottom of the photo.
Any help out there?
