a paintbrush with a white water base craft paint was waved and my oil painting was spotted. i am hoping there is a product available to remove them. instead of having some professional artist touch up painting which will probably effect the worth of the painting.

1. I live in the New York City area.Where in the New York/New Jersey area is the best place to get bodypaints and what do you recommend? Or, are there mail order companies that you prefer? If so, which?
2.Can bodypaints be erased? I have never done bodypainting before, and most of my drawings and paintings begin with a rough sketch to block out the basic shape, and afterwards I erase some of the unnecessary lines. Is this possible with bodypaints?
3. Lastly, is there a book in print today that you might recommend.
Thank you.
Regards,
Timothy

I'm looking for a price guide of sorts for paintings. I would like to know whether there is an all in one book with perenial information on the value of painters and what their paintings are valued at. Is there such a thing as a painting price guild similar to those for baseball cards, comic books and antiques?

I was wandering on the internet and I met this website: www.desteves.net . Which style of art we can define this artwork? Would it be ´figurative cubiste´? Any other better definition?

OK, so my Church group is doing a newsletter, and they wanted me to draw something for it. I has to be something religious and related to thanksgiving.

I ALREADY KNOW WHAT I AM GOING TO DRAW. But I would like some cool ideas to add to it!

I am going to draw a table with food on it (Turkey, Mashed potatoes, whatever) and there are going to be people at the table praying over the food.

I just want to know if any of you have a suggestion? I need LOTS of answers! Thank you!

What is soo appealing about a painting that looks like it was painted by a blindfolded 3 year old. Its nothing more than a few random streaks and paint brushes. There doesnt seem to be any imagination or logic to it like a mona lisa or something yet people are willing to pay thousands of dollers for it.
A friend of mine once told me that he went to Sweden or something where he was invited to an art gallery. He saw this huge 3mx10m canvas painting on display . It was nothing more than two colours (Red and Blue) running down vertically and everyone there was looking at it with extreme fascination and wonder. It was selling for like 3 million dollers i mean WTF is that. N just like him I laughed my head off when i heard this.

Can somebody tell me what the big deal with this stuff is. Why does an elephant or cat get to paint a few scribbles with a brush and sell them for like 3000 bucks while real artists who went to school have a hard time selling their art,

My daughter got as a present a watercolour set, and for a brush, it came with a "Van Gogh reversible brush series 191 no. 4 (pointed model, round, selected filament)" (so it says on the box). But we have never seen a "brush" like that before, it has no hears, is a hard tip on both ends. Is no instructions on how to use it with te watercolours, we are clueless. Anybody here knows?? Thanks a lot!

I have already asked this question a couple of times before but have had no success in finding some interesting artists. I now only need two different artists ( proper art, not that fantasy graphic stuff.) Who paint technology (greed) and sloth ( laziness, anything related to a remote control tv etc.) Any suggestions are welcome!!!

I have a full time job apart from painting. But I do paint a lot for family and friends and have a lot of talent. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could sell my paintings or have any ideas to make some extra money that would not take a lot of extra time outside of painting. Personal experiences would be great.

A nude girl is sitting in a parklike setting (maybe a picnic) surrounded by clothed people. This is a non-modern work of art, but that is all I know. Thanks.

I was recently approached by a painter who charges 5,000-7,000 for his paintings. He was struck by one of my photos and wants essentially to paint it.

Aside from receiving credit, I requested a percentage of the profits he will make from the painting. What do you think is a fair percentage? At this point I am thinking around 20%?

A friend of mine who is blind gets confused when I mention colours. If you could replace the colours with sounds, what sounds do you think would best explain different colours?
