Painting

to make the windows opaque? We have cypress wood window frames. Just curious if this is a good alternative or not instead of using glass tinting film.

I plan to paint the top of my laptop, as it is rather old, black, and boring, with acrylics. Has anyone does this? Does it pose a health hazard? Should I coat it with something to keep the paint from peeling?

Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks!

Usually I paint on paper or cardboard but I just bought a canvas to try. Do I have to prime it first? And would white paint work or would I need something special from the store?

Today I purchased a painting at an estate sale that was signed by Fritz Wagner on the bottom left, on the bottom right is a C with a circle around it, I think it is a copyright symbol, it is about 30"X36", it shows some older men in a library or something and on the bottom of the gold frame that is around it it says "Heineman's Old Style Lager, LaCrosse Wisconsin" and you can see a sign through the window that say's the same thing, can anyone give me any information on this painting?

Ive been dealing with this pic for a while now and i need to know if someone REALLY knows who this picture was painted by. I dont have much info besides the signature of the painting and that my grandmother bought it a long time ago. She left several articles to me including this pic. ive included pics thanx in advance.

So, my school just opened, and we have a big rock, and a few of my friends want to leave our mark as the first graduating class by painting a small part of the rock with 'Seniors '08', and someone told me there was paint that some people put on buildings so they won't be vandalized? A certain paint that you can never paint over.

I want to come back to this school is 10 years and that to still be there. But I'm NOT painting the whole rock, that would just be cruel. Does anyone know what that paint is called(or if it even exists)?

Since oil plus an oil is just ok, can i mix these 2?.

fragrance oil, i believe, will be diluted in the linseed oil. is it just fine?.. i am making an oil paint, and i want it to be so unique, that's why i am putting a scent..

the question is.. can i add the 2 together.. or i'll just add the fragrance oil..during the oil-paint process..(meaning i did not the 2 oils together...i put them in the oil paint mixture separately)

im damn confused!

I was left with a picture from my grandmother when she died. I dont know much about it besides the name (either P Ross or R Ross.) Its a pic of a vase i think, its rough in texture and in the painting itself is old newspaper clippings embedded in the paint. I have pics if someone can help it would be appreciated.

My husband works for a junk removal service, mostly estate clean ups. He came home with some antique items he thought might be worth something, including a set of Norman Rockwell lithiographs on plates. A set of 4, printed in the 70's and numbered. Any idea on value...even a ballpark guess. Thinking about putting them on ebay but don't want to waste my time.
