Did Vigee Le Brun ever sign her miniature portraits this way (as Brun). Brun is written exactly in the same manner as she signed Le Brun, only the Le is omitted.

If this were an original Le Brun miniature portrait of Napoleon, what would it's value be?

I like the paintings on the covers of these CDs but no where on the CD does it name the artist or the painting. Here are links to pictures:

Hi everyone,

I've decided to join the Youtube community.
Not having any experience with video editing nor a recording camera, I've introduced myself with a slideshow of my works and music.
It's really rudimentary, but your opinion is always important to me. Thanks !

I recently recieved a plate that was given to me grandfather when he was a superintendent on the railway. It was given to him by a man who found it. The plate is dated 1831 and has the New York Central Lines seal on the back. It is 9 inches across. It is white and has a intricate pattern that goes around the plate. At the very top of the plate there is a very old design of a train and under the train is the date 1831. The plate is in very good condition. I was wondering if anyone had any idea on the value or where I can go to find the value. Thanks alot.

The style looks like that of Gustav Klimt, but I don't think it is. It's a picture of a very pale girl with long stringy red hair lying on a quilt or something made of colorful little circles. It's very feminine and pretty with lots of curvy lines.

Without permission of the artist? Or do I need his permission? What if he is deceased?

This is the seventh painting I've done in this series and I'm not even sure what I'm supposed to be conveying in this painting. So perhaps you guys can figure it out.

(It's a portrait, tastefully done, of a sitting nude woman. If a little nudity in art bothers you then you might not want to open the link.)

For the rest of you:

I saw a painting in a house in Eureka Springs that was a back view of a woman in a red dress. Her hair was brown and pulled back. She had a wine glass sitting on the counter next to her. Any ideas where I could get it or who painted it?

When you’re creating as less subjective work of art do the titles come to you instinctively? If so, do you believe they fit the work and what you’ve said artistically? Or do you just slap on any old title that comes to mind? If it’s an abstract work does it really even need a title?

Are your titles well-thought out or are they ever afterthoughts? And have you ever come up with a cool title or phrase that you liked and becided to paint a painting based on the title?

Here is a painting I finished two nights ago:

http://pics.livejournal.com/unmired/pic/0007dxpy/g86

Do you think the title (which came instinctively to me) fits the title?
