Constructive criticism on my artworks please so I know what I can work on. Now, let me mention I am in high school and not a professional painter. I try. =)

Here's my album.

THANK YOU for taking time and writing suggestions and comments. I really appreciate them. Do you think being an artist will make a lot of money? I heard that paintings sell more when an artist has passed away - so that won't do me any good.

I think graphic design (like tiger baby suggested) makes money, I might take that on.

I'll try new things and techniques and see where that leads as suggested.

THANKS again!

You have very strong skills and style for a youngster and -if you choose- should find the transition to a university- or college-level fine arts program not too difficult. You have a very strong graphic edge in your work and I especially found your b&w pen-and-ink pieces exciting. I think your style might suit printmaking techniques very well, like woodcut or silkscreen. If you would like a course of study that lead to a paying career that is still creative, graphic design would seem a natural for you.

I suggest working on your figure drawing a bit, especially facial proportions. I found the classic how-to 'How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way' a great 'quick n' dirty' approach to figural anatomy as a teenager. You seem to love vibrant colour and that's great, but I think you should check out the effect you can get with subtle and constrained pallettes as well.

Oh, and sometimes you seem to forget what direction the ight is coming from, resulting in some wonky shadows. A great way to train yourself to keep this in mind is cut out a post-it (bright yellow, of course!) like a sun (or a lightbulb) and stick it on you page or canvas at the place where your dominant light source is shining from.

I really liked the bug renderend in instant coffee, btw. I'm going to have to try that sometime!

Not bad for a teenager, though you have a long way to go.
Keep practicing your chops. Improve your technique, just like a young piano player working on scales. Become a master of your chosen medium. Then you can explore artistic expression. But learn your craft inside and out first. Good luck.

Great work! Put a porfolio together with photos of your best work and show it around, you never know. I'm more of a traditional painter and putting together a portfolio and showing it around has landed me some commissions. Although i am a member of a gallery i'm not too involved in it but i do go out and seek potential clients of my own and you should too. Kind of like paying your dues but also learning how to talk and negotiate a deal. My work can be checked out at hellosanantonio.com under artist name ''Guerro'' in the local artists section.

You are going really well little one. Just keep doing what you are doing. Don't be afraid to try new things, that way you won't get stale. That all looks fine, much better than I usually see from highschool age students.

Be sure to follow your own heart and your own style, use different tutors to keep learning new techniques, don't get stuck with one for too long or they will contaminate your style.Loyalty to an art teacher is dangerous to your artistic advancement.

BEAUTIFUL, do not waste your talent, go to an art school when you're done with high school! You're paintings obviously have a hidden meaning behind them, and it makes them very mysterious. Combine that, vibrant colours, and your talent, and you have AMAZING art. :)

I think you have a wonderful future in graphic design. Pursue that avenue and there's lots of money in it.

Cool. The one with the face in the hand is a bit creepy but they're all well done.
