I don’t know if you’re just looking for modern stuff, if you aren’t try the British 18th and 19th century landscape painters like John Constable:
There’s Weymouth Bay, although it’s more of a wild shore than a beach:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Constable
Later the French artist Raoul Dufy painted some Mediterranean seaside scenes with yachts and seafronts so you might find something there.
The other thing that occurs to me is that it might be worth searching among the Australian artists, if you haven’t already done so. A few came up here which might give you some leads when I looked for 'Australian beach paintings':

You also may be more likely to find some paintings if you do an image search for ‘beach landscape’, a few like this came up:
http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://www.montserrat.edu/alumni/news/images/invit_portes_ouvertes.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.montserrat.edu/alumni/news/archivednotes.shtml&h=327&w=400&sz=33&hl=en&start=34&tbnid=AU7TK_EYDwcteM:&tbnh=101&tbnw=124&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dholiday%2Bbeach%2Blandscape%26start%3D20%26gbv%3D2%26ndsp%3D20%26svnum%3D10%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26ie%3DUTF-8
Sorry not to have been more helpful, good luck anyway. I found your question very interesting because it hadn’t occurred to me that there might not be a lot of paintings of beaches!

There is a French Impressionist painting in the National Gallery, London, of a beach painting, with mother shading her child from the sun's rays, but my mind's gone blank about the artist. Possibly Degas? Or Manet? There are certainly more by the Impressionists, as they were keen on outside painting.

I have painted a couple of beach scenes (see my site link below). You could check out Eric Fischl's work for lots and lots of beach people and he's a famous artist.

But I'd recommend you going to my ArtWanted site (link below) and search by key-word "Beach". Lots of stuff there and its easy to use.
