i bought some oil paints from ebay and when i got them they have markings from china. do all oil paints contain lead? is there a website where you can check to see if your product contains lead? it has a sticker on it that says "approved product conformed to EN71-3 ASTM D-4236" does this mean there is no lead in it?

I've been looking for a place/site in the hopes of finding a poster/print of Cloister Graveyard in the Snow by Caspar David Friedrich. I can find the image itself, but I can't find poster or prints for sale anywhere. Anyone have any suggestions or know of any places?

I tried painting it with acrylic but it does not work. I do not get a smooth surface. Any ideas? Does anyone think that spray paint is better to get smooth surfaces?

My family has an original Norman Rockwell portrait of Colonel Sanders in its possession. I was curious as to a reasonable market value of it.

Anybody have any ideas?

Hey, I have just bought some flake white oil paint for Winsor Newton, and it says it contains lead, and can cause kidney, or nervous system damage and/or failure. What? All I wanted was some white oil paint. What should I do now? Are there any other brands that do not have lead in them?

Hi- I have recently acquired a painting from an auction and I need help with anything you may know. It is circa 1860's or later and it is signed in red in the left corner. I can't make out what it is signed completely. I can definitely see the letter J. W--son. I can't tell what is between the W and the son it could either be one or two letters. The painting is of a woman whose face has dumbfounded every expert I have taken it to. They all said that they have never seen such attention to detail and such a gorgeous face. The painting is rather dreary looking but there isn't really a background, just black paint. It looks to be an oil painting, but I'm not sure because it is so fragile. Any help at all with this painting as to who could have painted it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

1. Back then, the horses shown in the boats would not have been able to keep the boat afloat.

2. It was night time when this happened, obviously the bright light would not have been there coming from the clouds.

3. Washington standing in the row boat would not be very safe.

4. Washington was supposively 44 when crossing the Delaware. However, here he looks very young.

5. Finally, the ice shown here is not accurate. It would've been thick enough to push the boats down the river.

Just some trivia for ya
