go to www.bobross.com. It's all there. He has been gone now for quite a few years, but I still like to watch his old shows, although I don't have the talent, to try painting. Good luck.

There are several types of paint out there: water color, acyclic, and oil based paints. Go to a Hobby Lobby, or craft store like Michael's or JoAnns. They usually have a kit for under $20.00 that has brushes and paints. You can buy small canvas to experiment on. Sometimes it's good to sketch lightly with pencil what you want to do. I always paint the who canvas with a neutral color to get me started. (Unless you use water color). There are usually classes you can take from Adult Education courses (you don't have to be an adult, just find the courses there), or your recreation center might offer teen classes, and the afore mentioned stores usually have classes to get you started. I thought water color classes were the most helpful to me. Also, learn to mix your colors instead of buying a lot of different colors. Learn about perspective, use odd number of 'things' and learn about shadows since everything has a shadow. I never used an easel.
