My family has an original Norman Rockwell portrait of Colonel Sanders in its possession. I was curious as to a reasonable market value of it.

Anybody have any ideas?

If the page doesn't translate, just type in his name for two pages of auction results:

I don't think your family unless its last name is Sheldon has an original. They probably have a limited edition lithograph. It will be numbered in the bottom right hand corner. Some were even signed in black marker by Rockwell. The original is owned by the Sheldon family who commissioned the portrait by Rockwell.

either you don't or you shouldn't be asking that question on yahoo answers. on the off chance that you're not making a weak joke, if its in good condition and its the actual painting "triple self portrait" it could fetch around 10-20 million at auction. however this scenario is VERY unlikely. if you have some sketch he did that could still fetch several hundred thousand dollars, you just need to back it up with proof that its not just one of your doodles. take it to a norman rockwell expert (you'll find a few in western mass near the berkshires)

First you have to consider that the top price for a Rockwell original at auction was about 15 million dollars recently. Depending on the quality and condition of your piece I would guess that it would be worth at least 500,000 dollars.
How much more is anyones guess. Of course you have to be able to prove it is a Rockwell original.
