I need assistance with a artwork picture that was left to me.?

I was left with a picture from my grandmother when she died. I dont know much about it besides the name (either P Ross or R Ross.) Its a pic of a vase i think, its rough in texture and in the painting itself is old newspaper clippings embedded in the paint. I have pics if someone can help it would be appreciated.

There is a book in the reference section of most libraries that lists artists and the value of their works. It is called "Davenports". If the painting has any worth, you should be able to find it there.
