We have a Thomas Kincaid gallery here (n Ft Worth)
I have mixed feelings but I love Monet. He's considered a painter of light. You should check him out!

Hi,

If you ask me about my tastes, I'll say Vermeer, Caravaggio, Andrea Pozzo, Girodet, Ingres, Pino and Sandorfi, just to name a few.
However I do like Kinkade's work. I do agree that is too much repetitive, but don't galleries say that one has to find a body of work that makes us different from the rest ?
Of course that are many artists that are better than him (according to my taste) and others who are less good.
I totally agree that one may not like his paintings, but what he does sells and he has found the market for his works.
Maybe he's abble to do something different and most of us don't know about it.

Kind regards,

José

I really cannot believe it !!! I always wondered who was so lacking in taste . Come on you lot and start studying real art and you will realize that these paintings are frankly just ghastly
I will however offer to paint you a lookalike for a quarter the price
This is my website . http://www.janedunn.co.uk/
I am a full time artist but can barely keep body and soul together let alone own a car. I really do wish i had his marketing talent !!!!!

An amazing artist that left us way too soon. We have a few paintings of his in the outside of the house, by one of the gardens, and are the attraction of everyone that comes around.

His subject matter is sweet enough to hurt my teeth.

And for someone who touts himself as the "Painter of Light", there's a strange lack of a light source in all of his paintings.

He's also deliberately oversaturated his own market, which is bound to piss off the people who purchased his work or opened one of his galleries as an investment. But since I'm not one of those people, I can just stand on the sidelines chanting "caveat emptor, caveat emptor!"

I got a Kinkade at Walmart and NO ONE will buy it on ebay, so I think he sucks. Art is only as good as the resale value.
