I want to try out for the talent show in my school. I'm in seventh grade. I don't have many presentable talents other than singing or playing the piano. I haven't had piano lessons in a while, but I can play Fur Elise (full version), a short staccato march, and the short version of the Entertainer. However, I really do want to sing. Right now, the only songs I've memorized are White Houses (not appropriate), a Japanese anime theme song, and two that can't be performed without background music, which I can't get without violating copyright laws. I'm a seventh grade girl, so do you have any suggestions as to what I can do for the auditions?

I am going to see the musical, "Wicked," in January or February of 2008. Currently, I know that Stephanie J. Block is cast as Elphaba. I hear her contract is near expiration (well, according to a comment posted on YouTube), but she only just started on Broadway, didn't she? I wanted to know if she would still be there in January or February of 2008..... I REALLY want to see her, and she has been the best Elphie since Idina Menzel (whom no one can compare to, by the way!). I really want to see her, is she still going to be there? Please help me!

I've been in a couple of talent shows and I was wondering if I could add it to my resume because if I can I would have more to put on my resume.

Thanks!

Okay so there are these auditions for the school play in January and I am having a difficult time finding a song...My friend suggested The Man In The Moon from the musical Mame. I looked everywhere for a video or a song clip and can't find anything. So my ? is does anyone know where i can find a FREE video or song clip or have a good song for an Alto female? The requirements are it has to be from a musical and we need accompaniment or we can go a Capella. I would really prefer accompaniment so if you have a song that has accompaniment with it that's be great. Thanks!!!1

I've been thinking about auditioning for a musical either at the Muni or the Theatre in the Park.

TIP is fairly small, so it's more likely for me to get a part. (They are putting on Kiss Me Kate, Two by Two, and Anne of Green Gables...I've only heard of the first.)

The Muni is larger, which either means I won't get a part or I'll be part of a very large cast (which I don't mind). They are putting on The Music Man, Hello Dolly!, The Secret Garden, and All Shook Up. (I've only heard of Hello Dolly! and The Music Man)

They are both near the same distance away from where I live (TIP is only a few minutes further). And if I remember right, the auditions are around the same time that my school puts on our musical (auditions for that are in a couple weeks).

If I go for it, which theatre should I audition with? And what show?

im going to audition for a play at my school..
i was just wondering.
does anyone know if a really kick-butt audition song?!
it has to be from a musicial...and i kind of prefer one that's not too well-known or overly done [["tomorrow" "somewhere over the rainbow" etc.]]

...
if you find one..
could you also attach a link to a place that might have what it sounds like..like a youtube video or something?!?!
...
its okay if you dont though...

THANKS GUYS!!

Now don't tell me, in your community. I have done a ton and a ton of community things. I am at the point where I need to be getting bigger and better jobs. Utah is second in states for the most movies produced and filmed there. I sing, act and model. So any comment would be helpful. THANKS

I missed the last one of my acting classes before my audition for an agent (not for a part - for an agent) and I have only been working on my part alone. I think its fine, I just need tips on anything - my nerves (which aren't too bad) - my acting my entrance, my exit ANYTHING that will help me do better. As far as I'm concerned my acting is fine, but a few tips will definitely help!!! THANKS!

Is there any way I can get one of the large posters that are often seen outside Broadway theatres? Do they sell them? The ones that are about 3x4.

I would really like to be in the entertainment business, no matter what. So casting director is cool as well. So yea. What should be my specific major and what colleges are best? I'd like it near Pittsburgh, PA to New York.
Thanks in advance!

I wanted to know if it is possible to start an acting CAREER in your 30's? I've always heard this thing about age, but I've noticed many older faces in the acting business, who may not be movie stars, but are actually making a living out of it.

Anything is possible with hard work and persistence. So what kind of route would you suggest for anyone who's interested in starting at a later age? Really, what are the odds in even getting noticed?
Is it all, really driven by youth instead of great talent? Yes, there are some young great talents out there.

I have a place to live in N.Y.C, and have considered moving back there, and just going after this dream I've had since birth. It's just in my system.
Or is L.A. the better option, assuming, I don't have a place there?
