I missed the last one of my acting classes before my audition for an agent (not for a part - for an agent) and I have only been working on my part alone. I think its fine, I just need tips on anything - my nerves (which aren't too bad) - my acting my entrance, my exit ANYTHING that will help me do better. As far as I'm concerned my acting is fine, but a few tips will definitely help!!! THANKS!

You don't really have an entrance and exit in this kind of audition. Your entrance is walking into the office and shaking hands. It should be pleasant and friendly like you're greeting someone you are very happy to see, but with a good happy handshake and a big smile. Most likely you will chat for a while. He or she may want to ask you about your hobbies, your school life, etc. first sobe ready for some small talk. I would make sure you have a funny story to tell even if you have to make it up. This is just to get them to like you and want to work with you. You have to be marketable. If you are not a character type then you're likely a commercial type. Play that up. Bubbly, whatever. When it comes time to do your monologue or scene... take your moment then go when you are ready. Do not over do it depending on what type of piece it is. If it's a scene from tv or film realize that on camera your movements do not necessarily need to be grandiose because film captures more. On stage you obviously need to make sure the back rom gets it. On film, they'll get it with less, know what I mean? When you are done you simply put your head down and stay there for a couple of seconds. They will know that you are finished.

If you have the time and money ask your parents if you can call your acting teacher for a private coaching session to work on your material before you audition.

PLEASE be aware that if anyone asks you for money up front then this is a scam and not a legitimate agency! Run away!

good luck,
Marianne

Don't kiss the guy. Dont move your head while talking. And ALWAYS say Thank You when you leave.
