i think that u should start with getting involved with a community theatre and take it from there. for school and community auditions, u dont need a headshot. and personally, i think that u should have some theatre background b4 an actual audition. but if u do go to a real audition, u probably shuld have a headshot...

most community theatres do not require headshots for auditions. you probably do not need one for a while. You get them at professional photographers who know about how to shoot them. You don't need to worry about booking an audition. Go ahead an tryout for some community theatre plays and see if you can get cast. Then think about acting school if you are doing some acting. You generally pay a professonal photographer who does them on a regular basis and can help you get a good shot.

You replace this as years go by.

That shot will be used to advertise the play, be used in newspapers and end up on web sites.

Once that shot is out you can't pull it. Only hope newer and better ones take it's place.

It really depends whether your community theater group requires a headshot or not.

what i personally do is mimic whatever i see on the movies in the privacy of my home, because they're all actors anyways. or just work on your charisma by talking to yourself in the mirror.
