ok, if so many people want to become involved in the hollywood bussines, i do bet that they go into an audition. so if they are good, how come the number of stars does not increase? i mean they should announce it or something..

I played first chair trumpet in my hs band. Earlier this school year a solo was given to the person in second chair. There was NO audition at all. Now that person is one of my best friends. When I go and talk to the director about why the solo wasn't auditioned for, he flatly told me he didn't think I could play it. Fast foward to two weeks ago. For the first time in 5 years he decides to hold chair auditions. We all try out. I get placed in third chair. Not to sound conceited or anything, but I know I'm better than the person in second chair( my friend got first). I am told by other music directors that I'm an good and an important part to the band, but all I can say is if they're gonna treat me unfairly then I'm not gonna participate. I plan on dropping band next semester and leave them hurtin. The whole program is revolved around favorites (the popular few), I'm an unfavorite, but I'm nice to everyone. My friends don't know that I plan on quiting. How do I tell them.

A movie. Ranging from High School Musical, to A lifetime movie. I am in the industry, but haven't gotton that far yet. I'm 14 years old, but I know alot more than 25 year olds when it comes to acting. I'd just like to know, what it is like, what do you have to do?

I was wondering if any of you darling yahoo answers fanatics could help me with the following problems I have!

First:
I need a good monologue to work with. I know all of the google monologue sites but if anyone has a good monologue that they used or one in particular that is good I'd love to look at it!

Second:
In the spring I am auditioning for my school's production of Bye Bye Birdie. I've always wanted to play Kim and so if any one has an tips for a song choice that would be awesome! I am a soprano in my choir but can sing alto music as well! Any suggestions would be great!

Thirdly:
I have a very tough decision to make in two months about whether I would rather pursue theater or squash (the sport of course not the vegetable) I am a fairly good squash player but a better actress. But my singing is not as good as my squash game although I'm not bad just a little unconfident. Any opinions? Advice?

I have an interview with 2 separate modeling/acting agencies, and I have never been to one, so what should I expect? What type of questions will they be asking? What should I say and what should I not say/do? Please help me I am nervous! Thanks

im having a difficult time finding auditions, and I've considered submitting to some through craigslist.com but I'm so worried that these people are all scam artists. Has anyone at least gotten a legitimate audition through them? And before anyone says anything I'm a legal adult so i dont need the "talk to your parents" reply.

Okay, I know this question has beem asked a thousand times before..and I think I have even answered some of them..
But I honestly need help!
I have an audition for "Fiddler on the Roof" next thursday with my friend. We are not the best singers but can carry a tune, what is an easy song we could audition with that we could sing together. Prefrably a disney song, because we both know disney brilliantly and the auditions are not that professional, my drama teacher said just sing at least 30 seconds, because she really wants me to get in the chorus..
