Okay, I know this question has beem asked a thousand times before..and I think I have even answered some of them..
But I honestly need help!
I have an audition for "Fiddler on the Roof" next thursday with my friend. We are not the best singers but can carry a tune, what is an easy song we could audition with that we could sing together. Prefrably a disney song, because we both know disney brilliantly and the auditions are not that professional, my drama teacher said just sing at least 30 seconds, because she really wants me to get in the chorus..

but yea..thanks for all you help!

it would be VERY much appriciated!

I agree with Helene. I have never heard of being allowed to audition with anyone else. It doens't make sense. You may want to double check that they will allow you to do that before you actually plan on it so that you don't get completely thrown off. Your best bet is to each prepare separate songs to sing. They should hear each of you sing and not at the sme time. Also, I don't think Disney is appropriate and I'm not sure why you would think so. If you're set on Disney, try any of the princess lead role solos such as In My Own Little Corner from Cinderella or Part of Your World from Little Mermaid. You should seek out songs that are similar in style and character to the role you want in the show. If all you want is an ensemble role and your teacher is fine with Disney then by all means forge ahead.

good luck,
Marianne

If you have time to learn music you could try
Marry The Man Today
it's a great song and fun to act out

Otherwise you could try
Put it in the book from The Roar of the Greasepaint, The Smell of the Crowd
It's really easy singing and rather fun

Depending on your range try:
Once Upon a Dream-Sleeping Beauty
Home-Beauty and the Beast (from the musical not the movie)
Won't Say I'm in Love-Hercules
When You Wish Upon a Star- Pinocchio
Some Day my Prince Will Come- Snow white
A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes- Cinderella
The Second Star to the Right- Peter Pan
Perfect Isn't Easy- Oliver and Company
Kiss the Girl- Little Mermaid
Part of Your World- Little Mermaid
A Whole New World- Aladdin
Colors of the Wind- Pocahontas

Anyways GOOD LUCK!!

I'm not sure why this is being allowed, even at the high school level. If the two of you sing a song together, how would your director be able to tell anything about your individual voices?

I know it's not disney but the song "sisters" from White Christmas might work for you. Break a leg!

Try Ariel's solo piece called "Part of your world".
But for an easier selection, try "Wild Horses by Natasha Bedingfield. It's really really pretty but easy to sing in my opinion.
