You need to help costume a show. Find out what the director wants, find out your budget and if there are costumes already available to work with. Go through the script and make sure of how many outfits each character will need and find out if any actors are playing more than one role. Measure your actors and get to it.

As for dealing with others, be professional. It's about making the show look good not making a coworker look bad.

good luck,
Marianne

First, don't let the 'evil' person in between your ears. It will be stressful enough without that.

You don't say whether you have to CREATE the costumes or just MANAGE them during the show. I'll assume the latter.

You need racks and hangers for the costumes, so you can easily hand them out to the performers for quick changes. You will also need to be on hand to put them straight and hang them back up in the correct order for multiple performances, or between dress rehearsal and show.

You will need needles and threads, safety pins and spare bits and pieces of anything easily lost, torn or broken (tights come to mind).

Therefore, you need to know the full programme for the event, so you can get everything organised and in the right order. DON'T let the performers mess up your organisation by throwing stuff around in their hurry.... make that very plain.

Good luck. Without you the show can't go on.

You will be working under the Costume designer. You will probably be in charge of costume changes and getting the costumes prepped before the show and costume care for them after the show.
