Hi my name is Oskar and Im 16, I'm hopefully going to get a manager but he's asking for 20% of my income in modeling/acting. Is that to much? I'm asking because Im new to all this acting and modeling stuff so I dont know if he's ripping me off or not.

How can someone begin a career in acting?
I'd love to act, but I'm also quite scarred of not being able to afford necessities. Would it be possible to act, and study law at the same time? (Possible. I know it would be hard, but I'm a determined, commited girl!)
Thanks.

I've recently been getting into comedy improv and I was interested in taking a class possibly this summer. I have some experience acting but not much. I've seen graduating classes at the Upright Citizens brigade theater and it seemed cool and fun. Has anyone taken classes? and what are they like?

well let me start off by saying i love acting! i live for it i was born for it. humm well i have blue eyes and i have blond hair(its all natural). i am 5'4(will the hight be a problem) and i am 15. when i am at school i have a part in a presentation or a remake of something i stand out from anyone else. everyone says that i can do horror or sad movies but they say i do best in comedy's because i am naturally funny. since i am only 15 years old i would want to finish high school first but recently i was thinking to become a child star actress but im not sure. also what are the things i need to become an actress and what steps should i take to become one. i have the talent and i have the courage to become an actress and i know i can do it but what do i start doing to become an actress. ps. i dont live in the states i live in canada but i dont want to start a career in canada i want to start one in the states which i think is the best. advice please!!!

I'm just curious, I'm a major theatre geek, and I've been following the strike in the news, but haven't seen this addressed. Some shows which have been shut down are set to close soon. For instance "The Grinch" and "Les Mis" are two I know of for sure. Will the closing of their runs be pushed back or will they close as scheduled? I can understand the Grinch closing as scheduled since it's seasonal, but what about Les Mis? I know "Duran Duran" got around the strike by running its final performances off-Broadway. I'm just wondering if other shows will do the same. I have a friend who has tickets for Les Mis in December, so he's pretty concerned, I'm just wondering, because this has the potential to disappoint a lot of people.
