Well, talent obviously helps. Experience, then you need an agent.

Orange County High School of the Arts in Santa Ana CA. people from all over the country move to go there. three hours a day of acting if you choose that for your conservatory. you can also take an extra acting elective. the academics are one of the top three in the country/state too. (at least that's what ive heard.) go to the website and check it out. its a great school. five buildings, seven floors. website: www.ocsarts.net
its honestly the best thing that ever happened to me. i want to be an actress too. im in musical theatre there because i couldnt decide between singing and acting. i might be switching into acting next year.

then get an agent who will send you out on the auditions that are right for you. but dont pick any agent. look around and find the right one first.

My sister got involved with any and all school drama productions and took classes at local colleges. She ended up going to college and studied Theater. Afterwards she moved to LA. Right now she's doing theater productions and looking for an agent. At the same time, she does extra work for some extra income as well. Keep dreaming and keep positive, though. it is a hard business to get into.

I recommend getting your parents involved to the max. They should know everything that you intend to do.

You should really think about getting some training as an actor. For how long before you start looking for acting work? That really depends on you and on the type of acting work you want right away.

You'll want to get some professional headshots done.

Learn how to put together a proper résumé (even if you don't have anything to put on it right away, you should still learn how to do it) and how to write a cover letter.

And then you can think about doing some of the things on the list of 17 things you could do today to get started. http://www.actingcareerstartup.com/how_to_become_an_actor.html

Remember to keep your parents involved.

You have no experience at all?
You should probably start taking acting classes first.
