Theater & Acting - November 2006

I am an aspiring actress, and i have been told numerous times that I should act and I should model. But I am only 14, so does anybody have acting tips for me to use later on?

I am a teacher who directs the students in a straight (as in not musical) play. I really want to continue to learn about theater but have only found one really good sounding workshop and that is at Macomb Community College near Detroit. Has anyone attended that program or know of a program for technical theater for adults?

I'm still in primary school in Australia and my dream job is to be an actress. I know most actors come from L.A and America. What are the chances I, being from Australia will have. I love acting because i love being someone else and taking on their charactor. I haven't got an agent(can u get agents in Australia?) and I'm in one school play right now, but I am in a small group that only says 2 things. I hope to go to acting school after high school. What does it look like? Do I have enough to be an actress?

I know what I have to do, I know where I have to go, I know how much it takes to get there. The problem is, my parents dont know it. I've mentioned it before. They don't take it seriously though! I've been rehersing a 15 minute speach for my mom, I just want to make sure I'm doing the right thing.

I mean, I'm not going to get into drugs or join some strip club or anything... But this is what I want to do. How am I supposed to do it without their support? Should I go with the 15 minute speach?

I'm 13 years old and really want to do something with acting. I want to be a vet when I grow up but I'm just looking for something fun to do too. Does anyone know if there are any acting classes near Syracuse Ny that aren't too expensive.
