It is not always true that you have to be "beautiful" to make it in Hollywood. There are many plain Janes in showbusiness. Not every role in Hollywood calls for an ingenue type. When you think of the best actresses of our time, you don't think of Marilyn Monroe or Jessica Alba(Or at least, you shouldn't...) You think of the great Katharine Hepburn, Meryl Streep and Dame Judi Dench. They were not breathtakingly beautiful, but their talent and success made you believe they were. If a casting director were to choose between a beautiful, but mediocre actress and an average, but very talented actress, at least 9 times out of 10 they will choose the latter. And that is the truth!!

If you are able to pull off the illusion of emotions and act when the scene calls for the exact opposite of what you are feeling. If you can make another believe in convictions that go totally against your own, then the illusion of your act will tell to what degree of an actress you are. The success of your act defines the ability you have.
As for Hollywood; there are literally thousands upon thousands that are good enough for Hollywood but the profession can only absorb about one percent of the people who enter the arena of acting. They are considered the top 1%. However I do have my doubts about that.
To paraphrase Cary Grant " I kept thinking of what I wanted to be and eventually I became that person"
Good luck and if you do happen to break a leg see a real good doctor immediately.

Hollywood is not a barometer for "Good Enough." Hollywood is a tough nut crack, more so than New York City. Hollywood has their own criteria of beauty, talent, etc. Audition and perform, to build your resume, in the city where you live before you go to Hollywood.

the number one thing that hollywood looks for is looks, then like if ur enegetic and junk and then acting. it doesnt really matter if ur a good actress as long as u can relate 2 the caracter i think. cuz there are a lot of actors and actresses in hollywood who can't act but are fairly pretty

If you're a good actress, you should probably just go for Broadway. Hollywood's only looking for looks.
Are you following the Stanislavsky system? If you are, you're good enough.
