The seats are half the price of the stalls and dress circle, but can you actually see the stage well?

Thanks!

Hi>
In my experience, you would need theatre / opera glasses to fully see the show from the Grand Circle.
There are obstacles in the way if you get the wrong seat, obstructing vision.
Better off in the stalls, I've found.
They call them the "cheap seats" - two advantages.
Much better view of things, lower priced seats.
Ignore the Aldwych Grand Circle is my humble advice.

Yes, you can see the stage well if you are towards the front. Otherwise you might get a big person in front of you blocking the view (but that could happen downstairs as well and if you're bigger than I am, as most people are, it's not such a problem!) It is possible to hire opera glasses from your seat for a small payment to help you zoom in on the details on the stage as you need to. I used to be an habituée of the grand circle and I've always enjoyed the experience.

Try here for a seating plan with 'good' and 'bad' seats clearly marked, and reasons given:

And then bookmark the site. It's a goldmine of info. for whatever theatre you need :)
