Hey Brit,
The search below has more than 10 pages of web sites with acting tips. Have fun.
PS - here is an example from one of the sites of the wealth of information available:
"First time visitors
The best place to start is with our free booklet, Ten Tips Every Actor Must Know. This essential guide is packed with secrets from the pros. You can get it for free now. Click here. " They might be asking for money for a book or something, but these sites are loaded with nuggets of knowledge, like these:
"Look into your scene partners eyes and talk to them.
Loud volume is not a technique. Don't scream at people.
Specify everything.
Don't rock back and forth like a willow tree. It looks really bad. And if you are wearing nice shoes, it click clacks.
Watch performers you admire and see if you can pinpoint why you like them.
Listen when your scene partner is speaking.
If something falls on stage, pick it up. If you try to continue the scene and trying to not pay attention to it, the audience will notice it more. Audiences appreciate a quick bit of improvisation to fix a small problem like vase tipping over. My favorite is when a phone ring cue goes off and keeps ringing after the actor picks up the phone. I think it's fine and hilarious if you give the phone a quick look in this case.
When acting in comedy, always commit to the jokes no matter how lame you think the jokes are. Commitment can really sell a joke. "

I suggest you take a theatre class at your high school (middle school?) or look into community theatre. Stage acting is a great way to get started. In the high school environment you can learn as you go. Most texts out on acting might be a little too advanced since you are just starting out but the Stanislavski Method is good place to start, he wrote the book on acting...literally.

Wats up Brit! Practice improvisation, eye contact, and practice in front of the mirror. When you go to school and see somebody, don't just say "hi." Add some drama to your speech. Say something like "Hey, girlfriend. How's it going." When you talk to your friends, show some charisma.

Write mini-prompts and act them out yourself. Try to experience new stuff, like scaring yourself somewhere, running across a peaceful field, ect. so you can feel your character's emotions. Knowing how your character feels can help a lot. Also, get peers to guess what you're doing. (Charades)

Acting is not all about emotion. It's about being able to portray your character. Try to put yourself in your character's shoes. How would you feel?
