Can you give me a quotation of your favourite piece of Shakespeare?

Mine is.....there are so many I cannot possibly make a choice!

I am not sure what category I should put this in so excuse me if I put in into Theatre & Acting.

I have been taking classes in NYC for the past year, commuting in from Connecticut nearly 2 hours away. I finally found a job in Greenwich, CT working as a waiter, after pounding the Manhattan pavement to no avail.( that was a good thing). Waiters jobs to seem to be as flexible and money making as they used to apparently be. Well, so I at least got a job withing an hour from the city, but I see myself quitting that one soon after moving. How is one going to work at anything to get by, and yet be able to do plays, showcases, etc...so one can invite agents, and hopefully get representation...and then be able to go out on auditions..I can't think of any thing, unless your a succesful real estate sales person..and then that take all of your time if you are indeed successful enough at it to live.

I'm in a muscial next week, and need some foundation suitable for wearing on stage under heavy lights. I've heard of Ben Nye, but don't know where I can buy it from (and fast!). I know there are other brands of professional foundation out there, but I don't know the names of it. Any help with a brand name, shop name or website address would be greatly appreciated!

Further details: the theatre is quite intimate (maybe a 400 seater), I have combination skin and shade would need to be beige-ish (I'm fairly pale-skinned). Oh, and I'm playing a normal human being, not a clown, zombie, ghost, etc!!!

Many thanks!

Two interviews last night,Jennifer Aniston & Angelina Jolie on E. Aniston had bunches of women and men friends applaud her warmth and wonderful big heart. Jolie's interview had no friends or family (except a father she has dismissed and doesn't love)comment on her qualities? The interview showed how she stole Billy Bob Thornton from another woman as she did Brad Pitt from Aniston. Basically a homewrecker who can't find her own man. All they could say about Jolie was she traveled to Africa to help there (but only if the camera was on). I thought it odd that Jolie's interview was only her talking about herself; and Aniston's was lots of other people talking about her. Why do you think that is? They're both beautiful, successful, and talented; but one has morals and the other doesn't. What do you think?

I am an aspiring actress who has been working hard for 8 years trying to educate myself and train myself in the industry. I have attended acting classes and have been in over 8 theater productions (one of which I held the lead role) and have done modeling jobs. I am 18 now and am wondering if I have enough experience to take classes in LA at a school I have been accepted to. Am I ready? If not what else should I do? And if yes, should I make the move to LA ?

I've always had trouble with it especially as I get older. I have tried reading repetition, writing them out, recording them and listening to them, and trying a kinesthetic approach incorporating the blocking but nothing has worked very well. The problem is that I seem the learn the lines in one context (at home alone) but when in rehearsal with different actors it all goes bye bye. Any ideas? The current part I'm learning (Mr. Lindner in "Raisin in the sun") isn't long (I'm only on 12 pages) but I've had this problem with shorter parts. I guess the problem isn't the learning the lines as it is recalling them while incorporating blocking, facial expressions, relating to the other actors. I can usually do ok in a speed read because I'm just thinking about lines and not the whole process.
Any other tips for learning lines iwould be appreciated too.

How should one go about seeking an agent, for either film, TV, or theatre? Is it all about sending headshots and resumes consistantly?

I wrote this hilarious screenplay. However, one actress refused to be in it because the the grammar is pale. It may be so, but the audience isn't going to be able to see the words, only the dialogue. Is it my fault she didn't accept the screenplay? She also didn't like the main character who is a rapist. He does get a tragic ending of course.

I basically need a GOOD website with DECENT description of the characters (it can be only main roles). I've tried google, but I'm too lazy to look through all the pages. Serious answers only, please!

PS if you can describe all characters HERE, even better!
