i read books on acting, i watch other really tallented actors and try to learn from them, i try to "be" the person, not just act out the script. im in the drama and speach clubs but all i get are chorus girl parts or townsfolk parts. what gives? how can i improve?

There's a type of production which emphasizes the chorus a lot. Lines in poetry form. Few characters. Does anyone know what it's called?

Hi, my current contract ends in about a months time and i'm wondering where people have had the best luck in finding stage management contracts. Of course i'm already registered with most job / stage job sites - but maybe i missed some?

I've always been obsessed with acting but have a bit of stage fright. I'm planning on going to college next year to take as many acting classes as possible. Aside from all that... I have a few talents that would help in acting, such as voice impersonations, accents, good memory, and line delivery.

Voices I do well:
1. Stitch from "Lilo and Stitch" (I'm 29 and I believe I do this perfectly.)
2. Kermit the Frog
3. Beavis and Butt-head (confirmed by everyone I know as the best they've heard)
4. Ludo from "Labyrinth"
5. Taco Bell Dog
6. Scottish accent

...and many more. I've been trying to get noticed since I was about 10 but have been too busy with life itself. I don't have much of an income and I don't want to see my talents go to waste and never be seen or heard.

Aren't you resentful of movie actors who get all the praise and money, but they aren't under the pressure of stage actors who have to memorize their lines, have to ad lib when they forget them, only get one "take" instead of a whole bunch of takes?

I am directing the senior play at my high school this year. I'd really like to do something that's never been done on stage before, like take a popular movie and adapt it for the stage. What would it take legally to be allowed to do this?

I'm a complete beginer looking to get a good foundation in Acting for film and television. The one month intensive courses seem like a good idea. But the only ones I have found are the New York film Academy and the Acting Corps. I'm just wondering if these are any good. Any Advice would be greately appreciated! Thank you!

I'm a film student and I filmed my second student film back in May, but I haven't edited it yet...the thing is...I can't think of a title for it...mainly because it doesn't have a plot...it's a comedy...and the story follows a student who is smarter than all his peers...it just goes through his average day dealing with stupid people...and I can't think of a name! What's a good strategy of coming up with a film with no real plot?
