I already have a singing teacher, just FYI. I am 13 years old, too.

Practice, practice, practice.
Beyond that, know any material you deliver as well as you know your own name, and project it with the confidence of someone actually living it. It's called "Acting" but can be so closely absorbed and related to your own personal experiences, hence drawing your audience into the performance, as if it relates to them.
Your age, by the way, is not a detractor,,,as you likely know in any viewing of modern movies, or TV shows engaging young people to act, sing, dance.
FEEL the part, or the piece you sing, as if it was either designed for you, or is in fact YOU.

If it's what makes you tick, if the feeling, the high, the rush you get from being onstage is the most magical thing you've ever felt, if it makes you soar and plummet and dance and then turn around and weep for the pure joy and beauty of it all until you feel your soul is going to pour itself right out of you
and if you have the gift
then go for it, do everything in your power and more, hope for a little luck and follow your dreams.
The question remains, is that how it is for you?

Acting is a difficult profession. You should study acting for 10-12 years before you pursue it as a career.

Get into alot of theatre groups and Drama clubs and choir! the more experience, the more likley you will recive a callback in an auditon!

those other ones are both wrong and mean, just remember this when ur on stage: its not about you, its about the audience. im also getting into acting. the 'not about you, about the audience' thing was from my acting teacher, and that helps with stage fright. when ur acting, just remember also that ur not supposed to be urself, u have to be ur character.

first poster is so correct it's not funny.
singing is all well and good, pursue it your whole life. Don't try to make a career of it, pursue your education.
