Try reading the book. But if you don't want to do that watch the 1952 British movie version with Alister Sim. It goes by two titles. Either A Christmas Carol or by Scrooge. The best and definitive of all the versions made.

BIG SIGH Lazy... geez.
WWW general search, Browser, Keywords,,,such as A Christmas Carol,,, GADS,,, read the book,,,,sigh.
Not knowing, or caring what your gender is, I suggest you don't attempt crossing the gender.
Can only be a main role???? Are you so self absorbed that you deny that all roles have value,,,or are all the lesser roles given up by now to those capable of performing them?
I've worked C.C. many times in my life, and not one role is less valid than any other.
I have a suggestion,,and if you get the part, it will be as worthy as any other. Audition for the part of the boy who runs for the turkey,,,near the end of the story. The lines will be easy, the part is necessary, and no one will recall or care how you portrayed the boy.

You've got to read the book. If you're serious about playing one of the leading roles then you must do a little work.
I am not going to describe any of the characters to you. Suffice it is to say; the story is full of great characters.

Ebenezer Scrooge is the only good part in the play; all the rest are wimps.
Ghost of Jacob Marley might be fun...but you're only on for a few minutes.
Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come is spooky...but doesn't talk.

I agree with those above, you need to stop being lazy, stop whining and read the play.
That said, sparknotes.com usually has excellent character breakdowns of all major novels and certainly such well known plays as the Christmas Carol.
But seriously, if you want to act, you need to start bulking up your knowledge of plays.
