....Eve And The Promise

Caffeine pot bleeping, leaves falling,
Chickens scratching, pines sighing...
OH GOD! ! NO! Not sunshine! ! ! !
You reneged! You promised Eve
No sunshine or mirrors before 10a.m!

So what if she had to swallow that bite
Of apple
To be able to speak... she agreed!
A promise is still a promise! ! !
Women...and mirrors...before 10a.m...
For US...THAT'S the sin!

I stumbled across it today, and it looks legit, but I was wondering if anyone else has had experience with it and can give me better feedback.

I 'm in my dark world I hold hate within my soul and it over takes me and with my pain I cut to feel something real
and my blood runs and I'm nothing but a feather blown in the wind to roam this dark road alone faithless ever more

The Samaria
“I'm silent in the dark" the Samaria had me warned.
"I'll sneak up behind you, soon you will be mourned.
I understand your movements and hear what you say.
If think you can see me, then it's too late to pray."
I would not travel lone at night, only with a friend.
I am coming to take you down, leaving nothing but the skin.
I can sneak my way up to your chest, and hit you with my knife.
I am the one who chooses, if you keep your life.
When I come to kill you, you will not be asleep.
All it will take, is one final sweep

Bitter cold of night, I can feel your breath.
A shiver and your ready, for your battle with my death.
I will fight you anyplace, your sorrows I will drown.
Anywhere I chose, I can cut you down.

The Samaria was standing-from across the street.
He was as quite as a mouse, at looking back up at me.
He came closer, with cold steel in his hand.
I ran to the distance, thinking of a plan.

Nightstand Bible

These are the words from the book,
Regard them, guard them,
Saying magical things,

Recite these words from the book,
Respect them, reflect them,
Holding them high,

Remember the words from the book,
Passed down, passed around,
Inscribing in stone,

Share the words from the book,
In translation, in notation,
Cataloging accurately,

Be content with the words from the book,
With no demand to understand,
Accepting codification.

Poetic Progress*

Poetry that is controversial
Is seldom very convivial
To everyone...

For each the separate
Critique...
For that poet daring the
Oblique...

The 'old school' becomes
The 'new school'...
If not, it stays
The 'dead school.'

Are Lice
Supposed to be nice?
Cause I fried mine
And ate with rice
Parasitic tick salads
Cockroach infested jelly
Crawling the custard
Over the mite-y meringue
Filling the nightmare plates
Wakes with tickle
In throat!

Where the hell did that come from?

I only thought of doing a nice poem and this happened!

.Nature's Fall To Winter...Sonnet*

In each the courage for on-coming Fall...
Not lightly do deer leave hoofprints behind
In searching for, claiming, thick stands of trees
Promising shelter. Sunshine days turn leaves,

Once green, to gold-flecked yellow, reddened flame.
Bold travesty. Colorful, barren cold,
Misted, creeping by degrees. Shorter days
Giving way to longer, chillier stays

Of nights, laced with owls eyeing small shadows,
Huddled, not invisible to hunger.
With an elegant, slicing swoop, the life
Becomes life, twining seasonal cycles

In rythmn, as each, apart, dance through Time.
A doe uncurls, still cold, into sunshine.

Sunflower follows the warmth of you, glowing,
Summertime vibrant alive colors flowing,
Sandy soft grass mounds, willow tree bowing,

Picnic place perched under shady persimmon,
Plates all arranged, and manors forgiven,
Peace, perhaps passion, appetite driven,

Laughter for lunch under crystalline sky,
Lazy lament of our chances past by,
Long ago lovers, under prairie grass lie…

Hilo side.

Sugarcane stalks, rustle in sunshine
Salt air wafts, as the seagulls complain
Emerald jeweled isle, Hawaii, Hilo side
Kulolo for breakfast, easy to make

Go pick opi’i, maybe catch lobster
Trade for some rice and Tonkatsu sauce
Sunsets on Pacific are crimson to amber
Palm trees a palace, the sky for a home

I cannot go back now, though paradise lingers
In my heart, long beaches, of pristine white sand
Time there is so precious, old souls remembered
Mahalo kamaaina kane, mahalo wahine

The rubber band inside my head
is wound up way too tight,
I cannot stop the argument
‘tween my left brain and my right,
Each time I try to run away
You suck out all my energy
I want to fly away today
Somehow, sometime, right now, someway

I look into the mirror
And do not know the face,
I looked all around me
And do not know the place,
With all my breath, I try to say
Until the end of time I pray
Go away, right now, please go...No…stay!

Blackstone Manor

Hounds whelp at the walls
Of old Blackstone Manor
on the moor, through the fog
A candlelit window
Lady’s soft whispers
A call to her love

Come back to me, Darling
From Majuba Hill
in the land of Transvaal
In South Africa
I wait for you here
While the fire’s still burning

Many years later
I still see you, lover
Officer’s sabre and buttons of gold
I know you fought bravely
My young handsome lover
I know that another
Will soon come to call

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Flowers smell nice
But i bet they have nothing on you

Clouds puffy white
Shirt crimson red
Your beautiful face
Is imprinted in my head

What can I say to make you believe
How do I show you what I really mean
I blew up your picture to get a better look
And now I'm in trouble.. I think I am hooked.

I must tell you, if you ever give me a chance
I will put you on a pedestal and forget the rest
I will be your poet, your fool, and you can call me "hun"
Let's take our two broken hearts and make one good one.

Cry

Will it matter if
we bleed our selves dry?
where our souls must drift
will it matter why?
would their stiffened lids lift?
to watch us sore above the sky?
or drown in the abyss of the deep?
will they even care to lie?
can their eyes dare to weep?
are they brave enough to say goodbye?
come now child and this concede..
time waits for no one...not you nor I;
we are but a disrupted chip..
a separate and lonely unit.
So tell me again, why is it that you cry?

For Dick.........

Euwaite his attention
went too far
with lady naked
no bra

He tried to keep
ahead of the rest
but floored himself
showing off
his breasts.

His attention to detail
was over the top
was this worth
him getting
them off?

He should have posted a good recipe for sourkraut sauce to be on the safe side.

The gift

The girl spots it on the cover of a small chocolate box. An elephant stepping out into a spring-smitten silence. Be it a butterfly in motion or I love you kissed by the wall. To catch it, she draws a little heart. So as to read it, she colors it, too.

Negative Remedy
Dark demon of decadence, what curse to you bring today,
burnt posies rotten inside, a disease covered with clay?
An old bear of childhood, now decomposing in display,
Butterflies bleeding their way out, an adolescent with a gun to play?

Perhaps it's dark chocolate tainted with your dismay,
poisonous in prime, a refection of the love you paid.
Your words are villainous, an ogre of speech,
you destroy and set ablaze, burn the evidence of betrayel and keep only what you wish to teach

Your presence we are graced with, shouts and cries of the accused,
you stab with your 8 foot tounge, relinquished are the abused.
your words are evanescent, haunting to the extreme,
they smash and slice, wicked are your dreams.

An aura of horror do you employ, broken hymen of error, an excuse of your abuse,
Erase the hope of those who wish to see, these are your curses of negative remedy
