Immortal love so willingly shared,
It is all about the way you have cared,
For each tear I shed before you,
You bring me ten smiles, by the things you do.

Your selflessness, protection and devotion,
Mixed together in a beautiful concoction
Of your love, which each day I drink,
Thus grows stronger each and every link

Between father and child,
Nursed with care mild,
This eternal, unbreakable chain,
For linked we are in pleasure and pain.

And all I can give you in return,
Is a promise that I shall never turn
My back on you, whatever the situation be,
I will be there when you need me

(its 4 father's day)

When I was young I looked up to you even though you didn't treat me right.
When you were drunk, I heard you come in and scream at night.

When I was alone and felt so empty, all you did was critisize me.
When I decided to be brave and stick up for myself all you did was beat me.

When I locked myself in my room and cryed not knowing if I would even be alive tomorrow,
You just laughed at my sorrow.

When I went to school and had to lie about all the bruises,
You just gave me more to have to explain.

When I finally came to my senses and turned you in,
I had to nter foster care and be alone once again.

When I called you 6 months later, you blames me and said I'm not your daughter.

When I called you one year later, you blamed me and said I can't be your daughter.

When I called you 2 years later, you said you were sorry.
When we hung up you called me back 5 minutes later and said I'm a peice of **** and it's all my fault.

Now you still just laugh at my sorrow.

And I shall note this for future references to anyone who thinks teachers are just things...or it's immature to give presents to teachers....

I hate it when...people thinks teachers are just things. And all there use is takeing up students times. Teachers are not things to be played with. There actually human beings! Why can't you people accept that? You call me immature for trying to give a gift to the special educators that helped me out. Is it really that immature? WEll...at least i'm not inappropriate during class. AT LEAST I CARE! Students that care are so rare to teachers....I mean there are so many students that can be completly blinded by the fact that the teachers probebly have a hard life that they delt with. Everyone has problems, that's what makes them humans. There's been so many people that helped me out.

Nobody heard him, the dead man,
But still he lay moaning:
I was much further out than you thought
And not waving but drowning.

Poor chap, he always loved larking
And now he's dead
It must have been too cold for him his heart gave way,
They said.

Oh, no no no, it was too cold always
(Still the dead one lay moaning)
I was much too far out all my life
And not waving but drowning.

or is there an example of persuasive language enjarment or hypothesis.

lying here with you on the surface of the moon,
hearts at recommended safe distance.
earthrise begins as our dark blanket recedes.
gravity offers little resistance.
no atmosphere needed,
we’re breathing just fine,
on this cold , grey sphere in earth’s shade.
floating above silence,
oblivious of time,
in this perfect lunar daydream we’ve made.

beautiful powerless morning
swirling trees in skies of grey
i was right there with you
heard every word
that you could never say

sometimes i watch the world unfold
and dream i'm the ink that lives in your skin
where does the illusion stop
where does the real begin

serene circumference of an endless night
trapped in a falling northern light
an icy wind knows your scent and sound
kisses dying seed in southern ground

beautiful powerless morning
swirling trees in sky of grey
you'll always be here with me
alive in every word
that I'll never say

ATHEIST PRAYER

Lets put our hands together and pray
That God or Gods do not exist.
I know they don’t!
And add all Devils on that list.

Who needs them?
What for?

Have not humanity made fools of us
For two thousand years and more?
Enslaved, tortured and kill their kind
On Gods and Devils names?
Let’s toss them out and pray…
That they stay out for good.

Who needs them?
What for?

If humanity is to gain some self respect
They must worship some of their kind instead
Scientists and sages, heroes of human kindness,
Mathematicians, philosophers and artists
And all the ones who made this world
A kinder place to live.

And throw the supernatural beliefs
Back into the dark ages!
Who needs them?
What for?

Encircling you with hands created to create. Your fires burn a light year away.
Defying cowardly distance,
your warmth germinates in every fiber
as searing light penetrates my darkest hours.
Blinding me with clear visions,
hovering quietly above shores unknown. Gentle waters cool my parched feet. Crystalline sands wash away imperfections, and castle walls brace for high tide.
My silhouette appears around you and you swallow my colors as they bleed into yours. Each drop painting a forlorn reality seemingly impossible,
and unreal.
Tainting waking moments as solid matter dwindles in compare...

to my only sunshine.

So I leave it up to you.

Danielle Louise
Feelings

In the hot summers I feel so numb
I can barely feel the heat
When I am left alone without your embrace
I cannot feel my stilled heartbeat

In winters when it’s freezing cold all I feel is pain
It’s the pain of being away from you when I want you back again
The seasons change and we fall more apart
It’s something that I hate

But when we come back together I can’t help but celebrate
The feelings of my emotions burst out from hidden depths
All my locked up love for you no longer wants to hide
From now on the love I feel for you
Will always let you know

Even in my dying breath I will not let go of you
My soul is lost without its mate
You know that this is true
Forever my soul will follow
Forever I will love you.

He sits quietly, alone in the sand, working busily with a cup and a pan,
His mind moves freely through an enchanted land, this mystical boy of mine.
All I can see is a hand moving slow, as a small caped doll moves to and fro.
Unknown to us are the places he’ll go in the eyes of this boy of mine.

He constructs a town and scatters ‘round guards. The hero’s in a chamber, surrounded by bars!
But with subhuman strength, much greater than ours, he escapes with this boy of mine.
Then you’ll hear a small roaring sound as an earthquake shakes and rattles the ground,
And toys and sand are scattered around, as two small hands level the town,
then rebuilt by this boy of mine.

With fascination, I watch him slowly rebuild. Always, I find, that the villain will yield,
And with undying love, my heart is filled for this magnificent boy of mine.
I can see him freely and easily go to those wonderful places I no longer know,
Places, to me, he’ll eagerly show, this instructional boy of mine.

Upon the peeling, faded walls, a dancing silhouette
manipulated by the puppeteer, the little marionette.
Suspended on her silken strings, obeying all commands.
Day after dreary day, manipulated by his hands.

The animated movements of the lovely marionette
seem almost lifelike in her graceful minuet.
Suddenly, the unhappy puppet realizes her life deplored,
and rejects the rigid control and severs the strangling cord!

The confused puppeteer, unconscious of the treasure stole,
Creates another marionette, another to control.
Suspended on her silken strings, obeying all commands.
Day after dreary day, manipulated by his hands….

sunset bows to the curtain of night,

humbled by a vain blanket of stars.

a lunar spell entrances the sea,

as still air mocks my sails and scars.

one last night in this casket adrift,

upon currents unkind and too far from home.

salt in my nose,

damp in my shoes,

surrounded by life,

yet forever alone.

bring us the last thimble of wine.

we'll drink up a toast to our bitter defeat.

raising our chalice to the vulture's prey.

to sweeten our meat for the carrion feast.

love,
a simple enough word,
just four letters,
only a single syllable,
never thought it would be so hard,
such a simple word,
but so hard to say,
so hard to explain,
so hard to confess.

each time i look at you that word comes to mind,
but it never comes out,
afraid that you won't feel the same,
or that it isn't true
or that it will scare you away.

i am not sure if this love is true,
or if it is love at all,
but i wish i could say it to your face to see if you feel the same,
to see how you react,
but each time i open my mouth to say it,
i get tongue tied,
can't breathe,
and all i can do is stare in your eyes,
as you stare in mine,
and the world stops as we kiss.

is this love,
i don't know,
do you think it's love too,
i don't know,
but each time i look in your eyes,
each time we share a kiss,
or whenever you hold me close,
i wish for the moment to last forever,
and that scary four-letter word runs through my head.

ok the poem called SEVEN AGES OF MAN by shakespear
i read it over and over I dont really understand it can u help me out? ty

All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players:
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages. At first the infant,
Mewling and puking in the nurse's arms.
And then the whining school-boy, with his satchel,
And shining morning face, creeping like snail
Unwillingly to school. And then the lover
Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad
Made to his mistress' eyebrow. Then a soldier,
Full of strange oaths, and bearded like the pard,
Jealous in honour, sudden and quick in quarrel,
Seeking the bubble reputation
Even in the cannon's mouth. And then the justice,
In fair round belly with good capon lin'd,
With eyes severe, and beard of formal cut,
Full of wise saws and modern instances;
And so he plays

Family

Growing up we were inseperable, like grass and morning dew
I always thought down in my soul, I'd always have you
Deep down in my heart of hearts, inevitably we would part
The time flew by, and the time has come, our lives to start.

Ballet and dirt bikes, what a pair that we were
breakups and crying and even some scares
we always stood together, through thick and through thin
Well always be sisters, even though were only cousins

All through High school, you were always there
someone to confide in, someone who would care
I've dreaded this day, since I realized it would come
Two sister together, I'll always think of us as one.

Four years ago, college took the two of us apart
And now it is time for us both, a new start
I'll remember the times, the times that we shared
You always kept me going, because I knew that you cared.
