finished and we spoke of what we had experience during those seven hours, we found that we at one point while standing next to each other had experienced the same thing simultaneously. How can this be possible? I am usually a sceptic on such things.

Imagine you were taught Mormonism and were a devout Mormon since youth. You lived the rest of your life with Mormon truths and values. Hooray.

Now imagine this same pathway for you, only, by chance, you ran into a pagan-oriented book or magazine (or anything) at age 16, had new thoughts, and were forever changed as a person. Get locked in a room and brainwashed another day and uh hey now you're suddenly sympathetic towards Nazism.

In a way it's funny to look at a character knowing they're merely a mishmash of what they happened to (uncontrollably) experience in life. It's so arbitrary and silly. Makes me see how ridiculous holy wars are!

For a while now i've found myself quite bored. Doing the same routine during the week and never experiencing the interesting things in life.
I try to think of something that might interest me and possibly even my friends. But nothing comes to mind.
Basically all my friends and i ever do is stupid things like driving around looking for party's that we never find, girls we never talk to, or places we never go. And the main reason for this is we simply just dont care enough to actually go through with them. The idea of something new seems nice. But i just can't seem to see a real reason to partake in them.
I'm a very controversial person.
Loosing much reason to do anything because i simply can't.
Life has become boring.
I would travel if i could but unfortunately i don't have that privilege.
Would try to get a girlfriend but i have no motivation.
I don't do drugs or drink and don't see a need to. Hell i'm what most people call an ideal child.
So Why Can't I Find Enjoyment In My Life?

In my city, at the state capitol building, we have had a little riff here, that people were calling the 2 story tall tree a "Christmas tree" and the freedom from religion foundation came in and said, oh no no, you cant call it that, you make it seem like it is endorsing some particular religion. You shall call it, a holiday tree. "

I pondered this, and I came to thinking that if the Christmas tree is indeed secular in origin and practice, and more wide spread than just among Christians, oughtn't it to be a Holiday tree and not a Chrismtas tree? but of course in our own private minds, we might call it however we please, and save the p. c. title for the state capitol buildling.
I'm curious to hear other people's thinking on this? thanks

Here I am,
16 years old,
killing myself to get good grades in school.
I'm under immense stress all the time,
and have at least 3 hours of homework,
and still do horribly.

But, we, as mankind waste so much time.
We kill ourselves for 14 years in school, to get a high school diploma, to apply to a school, where we will kill ourselves to get a simple piece of paper that says, "So and so went here for an education."
WONDERFUL.
Now, the lucky ones, get their dream job! They manage to bring home the bacon, and maybe even get married!

A few years down the road, we have grey hair now, our marriage has went from love, to companionship about children, and 50 percent of us are on our way to divorce court.

Oh, and let's not forget our dream job, which we now hate, and has turned our passion in life to crap in our hands.
Then, our death creeps up on us, taking everything we worked hard for, and make it nonsense.
GREAT.
Life is a moment of happy here and there. Why care?

It seems reasonable that many of us expect to die eventually because it seems everyone dies sooner or later.

Axioms are self-evident, but does it follow that if there is life, there must be death?

I asked a question a little while ago on the Religion and Spirituality section of Y!A and got some every interesting answers.

The most interesting of the answers involved people who attack with malice and even hate others just 'expressing themselves' and another stated that it happens everywhere. Why is it that hatred is accepted as normal, and unfortunately even encouraged is particular fields like religion, in our society?

What is the purpose of hatred and why is hatred based on religion or cultural difference all but accepted?

Please explain your answers.

Thanks.

it seemed so far away.
is the present life half as bad as you thought it would be? or worse?

now if I ask you about the year 2050 what would you say?

I have to write a speech on world peace in the " i have a dream" style. i need some ideas it has to be 150-200

this is what i have so far. anything would help.

I have a dream that one day we could live in a world without fear of war. I have a dream that one day we could live in peace and harmony. We are all humans and most of us want similar things in life but in our world today we face a problem of violence. I don’t understand why people fight. The only thing that comes from fighting is pain. Pain isn’t worth fighting for.

This is mainly a philisophical question with no true answer , but i was just pondering why is it that we generally find nature more beautiful than anything man could make??

( when i say nature , i mean flowers, colors of leaves in fall, green grass.. and everything of that sort)

when i get off from bed each morning...i face the mirror...and admire myself...i thank God for the image that is in front of me...but...the rest of the day until i return to bed again...i spend sad and lonely.
My mom used to tell me it's a gift and that it has a use..a purpose for why it has been given.
But...i never saw that...and never believed. Without love and peace in my heart...beauty is just that...just something to be thankful for...but for what...i do not know.
Please share your own thoughts. thank you. =)

Annapolis peace talks acted as a mean to isolate Iran. any body in a right mind should be able to recognize this specially at a time that the world is afraid of an attack on Iran by the USA. this is not only a matter of peace in M.E but the world peace! Annapolis peace talks or a big hypocrisy?
