I think it would be the same as guns but even worse Some people cannot resist the urge to do evil its in the mind. so if we had wands it would be the same as guns. War,battles,etc its just the same unless there was something to prevent all that like what they had in the Harry Potter books underage

If it could grant a wish I'd use it for that (and wish for infinite more wishes!). Otherwise if it wasn't too powerful a wand, I'd probably either sell it on eBay or send it to a lab to have it analyzed to find out how it works.
P.S. rocketer's reference was to an old game called nethack, for those who didn't get it. Nice to know there's still some nethackers out there!

The object of philosophy is to match subjective consciousness with empirical existence. It is not to ignore empirical existence for whatever subjective silliness your mind can think of.
What would I do with a wand??? I would enshrine it--as a tool of stupidity. It's nice in a movie; it is horrible philosophy.

Well, other than for minor stuff like getting things without moving to get it, or restoring objects into their original form, I wouldn't use it because we'll still deal with life the same way whether we had magic or not.

hehehe I would use my wand to ZAP all the problematic, nasty evil people in the world to a place far far away.....possibly another dimension or Galaxy light years away hehehe
