What is the meaning of this phrase;

"Detachment from the truth. A rigid point of view. A disregard for logic."

The whole world needs to learn these American values that foster efficiency and enterprise in a forthright no-nonsense manner...... but there would be no point in learning, if it can only end up in having enemies rather than friends. Is there some strange correlation between being efficient and enterprising and having more committed enemies than friends?

All the little things that you can think of.

What type of person are you, a leader, a follower, a sheep (one who goes along with the crowd) or an individual.

It seems these days that only a few people under the age of 25 or there abouts have anything even approaching individuality, many just like to hang around in groups, drink and 'hook up'. They listen to the same music and read the same material, eat the same food, drive the same cars, they even seem to go out of their way to look the same.

So my question is, what type of person are you?
A leader, an individual who leads or separates themselves for the pack (Non-Conformists/Rebels are not part of this group – many times non-conformists/rebels are following a sub-culture trend).

Or are you a follower, a sheep, one who goes along with the crowd and does what everyone else does.

Do you wish that you could be different – on the other side of the fence?

Please explain why you think you are this way inclined, what in your past and in your social circles has helped or hindered you into this position?

Thanks.

Do you agree or disagree with this quote and why or why not? I want to record people's opinions for a paper I'm writing comparing and contrasting how people view reason. Thanks for any help!

I never want to get married, no children either. I'm 18. But whenever I see a guy I really like these images pop into my head!!! They are floating thoughts. Do you experience the same things or something else like sex? State your age also. This is a survey.

I know this is a long shot, but if you are an empathetic person, please let me know how to deal with the emotions of others. I recently just realized how empathetic I am. For years, I could always tell if somebody was lying about their feelings; and I get vibes from people. It is also easier to predict the future because of this. I can feel the pain of others, and it lingers with me for hours. I know most people don't believe or understand this phenomenon, but it is real to me. Please help me. People with problems flock to me, and sometimes it can be more than I can handle. How do you learn to let their feelings go? How do you deal with the waiting for an outcome you know will happen (I am not usually a patient person)? When you know somebody says, "Let's get together some time," and you know that you will never see them again, how do you deal with that? It is really overwhelming. Please help; please don't reply if you don't believe. It's fine if you don't, but don't make this a debate

Sometimes I just don't feel like talking to people. This happens often, I just huddle in my own room and shut myself from the rest of the world.

I'm a scorpio if that means anything.

When we think about the right way to act, should we think about what rules we ought to follow or should we think about what virtues we want to live out? Why?

This is a Q not only about your identity but also how you think you became the person you are at this point in life. Keep in mind the way you A this Q will reveal something about you, like your attitude toward yourself and others, like your level of intellectual and emotional maturity, among other possible things about yourself. That said, are you up to answering this kind of Q? ((This last Q is a challenge --no A is required to this challenge Q.))

Self-identity is an issue in the metaphysics and epistemological branches of philosophy. Descartes' famous cogito statement barely scratches the surface.
