Maybe one, maybe the other. However, as that knowledge is possibly (and probably) locked forever from human existence, the situation is rather irrelevant to the immediate one, horrid as it may seem. We'll get over it.

I think when death occur rs soles go on but memories are just that before death. Well that How I see from losing someone close to me. But those who survive can live to tell those memories to others.

death is the end of this life, memories can't be carry forwarded but only good & bad deeds. so human beings have to do always good deeds which will help them to hvae an better next life.

Nothing is ever lost. All of it goes into the universal consciousness where it remains for anyone who wants to access it.
