What type of person are you, a leader, a follower, a sheep (one who goes along with the crowd) or an individual.

It seems these days that only a few people under the age of 25 or there abouts have anything even approaching individuality, many just like to hang around in groups, drink and 'hook up'. They listen to the same music and read the same material, eat the same food, drive the same cars, they even seem to go out of their way to look the same.

So my question is, what type of person are you?
A leader, an individual who leads or separates themselves for the pack (Non-Conformists/Rebels are not part of this group – many times non-conformists/rebels are following a sub-culture trend).

Or are you a follower, a sheep, one who goes along with the crowd and does what everyone else does.

Do you wish that you could be different – on the other side of the fence?

Please explain why you think you are this way inclined, what in your past and in your social circles has helped or hindered you into this position?

Thanks.

I used to be a sheep without even THINKING of doubting why until Grade 8. Then, I started to doubt. Now, I am completely moralless (I don't think killing is bad because it's the law of nature) but still get good grades and haven't done anything that is considered "really bad". Don't get me wrong, I'd never go out and kill somebody out there because this is the way I compromise with the society. Yet, people are so meddlesome they bother me for my mere existence, and they don't know about my complete morallessness(?), they're just being nosy.

But still, I'm quite proud right now because I'm sticking to my own opinion even when it's pretty harsh on me. Now my immature science teacher thinks I'm a mentally troubled child and everyone else, even my parents, believes so because he's supposed to be a "mature, all knowing deity on earth" teacher and I an "immature, unsecure" child/student.

Hello. Nice question. I'm Eric.
I'm totally different individual. Way back 2003, I wrote an essay entitled, 'swimming against the will of the river".
In that essay, I clearly said that "today humanity is under new generation where everything is complicated." WHY? First, the words "IN" and "OUT". once you do not know how to play games in a computer shop, or in your pc, you are not in. thus, you are out. If you are not hanging with your friends, you are also OP.
The bases for a good life, today, is now according to the standard set by society. Society makes many good things but against our conscience. But we are blind for that.
We are open for public that is why I cannot tell you everything because your question is, actually, something personal.
The only thing I can tell you is, I'm totally different from all the people you encounter. I do not live according to the standard set by the society but according to the law of nature. It is through this way that I found satisfaction and happiness. The more I think of people, the more I suffer. I mean, thinking of what will they say about me. So, I decided to make my own philosophy, " living in contrast to the standard of the world". While many men, at my age, do something to make themselves happy, I do the other way.
My answer is not limited to it. As what I've said, it is something personal. I can't answer your question the way you want it. But if you are interested, try to tell me in my e-mail ad. It is not public. I can tell you there.

Great question?
In some ways I feel I have been a leader to those in life that
needed or asked my advice!
I'm a Mother so I have to have some leadership abilities!
And to be a really good friend it takes one to lead sometimes.
But I like to follow the truth. Of course ,God and the example ofJesus Christ! But I remember being a follower in school. I
guess then, it was easier for me to be with a group than to
be alone.
Now that I'm older , I don't feel I need to lead or follow but to
just be who I am and be proud of myself! It was hard work
getting where I am so I should just stand on what I believe.
But I will always help someone in need! And I will continue to
search for more answers and ask for help, too! :)

I would say that I am an individual. I really do not like to follow others unless they are right in what they do. I guess some would call me a leader too, although I really do not want to be one, but end up being put into that position.
I guess I dress like a lot of people but not because they dress the way they do but because I like what I wear and I really do not care what they wear. I do not care if someone is rich or poor. I only care about how they treat me and I would be their friend.
I do not run in groups at all. I guess I am pretty much of a loner and I do not mind it. Many times it seems when I would run in the groups that it was more gossip then friendship and I did not care for that. I just wanted to enjoy and have some fun with other people. I am not a follower. I do what I believe and not what others want me to do or believe.
I do agree with your statement about people being under 25 .
I guess I am so different because I am much older and I do feel you are right in what you feel.

There are two aspects to what I am. In my dealings with the world I am an individual, this is a lot of trouble as it pretty well deviates from the norm. So a normal life is not in the cards.
But my spirit is a sheep. I am in the fold of my Lord Jesus, so I follow Him. My faith in God's salvation the Christ Jesus will separate me from the goats.

I believe I am an individual, with thoughts that are far beyond me and others. However, I've found out there's people out there who share my thoughts (from this site, haha). and I'm happy about that! I see myself not in this world, but in this universe. However, I have qualities of all the other categories. It's hard to explain. But I would choose individual.

well the first thing I have to get off my chest is that people are not individuals. during this short period you are an individual but in the big picture your nothing. Now don't get all bent outta shape here cause I'm nothing to you as well. The fact is is that we are really only individual to ourselves because your "self" is all you will ever truly own.
