Philosophy - November 2007

well yes my weakest point is philosophy
bu i need to get through cause i have a test soon
i ask for methods to study philosophy. when i just read it from the book, it is nonsense to me and i forget everything i read so quickly.
how can i study philosophy, remember it and if possible enjoy it???

What is the universe? Where does it end & start? Why has there been no major wipe out since the ice age? What is the missing link between us evolving from kavemen into intelectual human beeings? If it speaks in the bibel of us returning home, doesn't returning imply that we have been there before?
Why do some of us allways feel like we want more & as we aquire more how come nothing ever satisfies us? What if we are desiring a state of mind or feeling that we have experienced before....how can you want something without knowing what it is you want?.....

School and educational knowledge (Dipolmas, degree, BA's ect) or life and intropesctive (Seeing hearing, studying all around you)??

I know they both have their tremendous benefits and arguably their both equally as important. But would you consider either one to be more important then the other?

I mean we don't even know the point of living, we just do it and we reproduce without reason behind it. Could we be the reason for this universe's demise, for all things need to go back to the way they were for the universe to be stable.

Apart from the obvious!

I only ask because can't sit on the toilet for any amount of time without something to read or writing materials (very short attention span). The toilet often becomes my "seat of meditation"

Since there are a thousand faiths, we are apt to become skeptical of them all. We had seen too much to believe too much. Traditions and dogmas rub one another to a minimum in such centers of varied intercourse. Now, who do you think were the first skeptics?
