I started college at age, shortly after finishing the tenth grade. Although I had an early start, it took me almost 6 years to get an associates degree. And now I am a year from finishing my BA degree. I could have had a PHD by now if I would have just stayed in school and not dropped in and out. I was told to concentrate on school but I didn't. My first year I screwed up so bad, that I was on academic probation because my GPA was under a 1.0. One semester, I even had a negative GPA (I still can't figure that one out). It took almost straight A's as a sophomore and straight A's as a Junior to make up for it. THANK YOU FOR ASKING SUCH A GREAT QUESTION!!!

As a young girl I discovered that companies would send offers over the mail (such as free books from harlequin or try fingerhut stuff for 30 days for free). I was warned about the gimmicks and was adviced to watch my credit score. I ignored it because i didnt think it would come back to haunt me.
Actually, I didnt think about my credit at all. Born and raised in the hood of NYC and raised on public assistance, I always thought people who owned homes and other such things were just "rich". I had no idea that if you take care of your credit and stable employment and good character anything is obtainable.
Years later I fixed my credit and undid the damage. I finally have a home, car, dog and white picket fence. But I could have avoided alot of grief had I listened to good sound advice earlier on in life.

Well, 10 years ago, I was 13, but I was overweight, and my family would always suggest that I eat better or exercise more. If I would have listened, I wouldn't have had to lose 106# (I've lost 98# so far) now to be at a healthy weight. I shut myself out of many opportunities because of my low self esteem stemming from my weight.

I'm happy with the route I've taken. Sure, I've made mistakes and would have been better off taking the advice given me in some instances, but then I wouldn't be the same person today. So, to answer your question...none.

To stay in the service and go to Spain. I took it, and I've since traveled the world, learned three languages and have done things that I never thought I'd do.

Don't worry so much about boys and concentrate on your studies. I was soo boy crazy when I was younger that I'd forget to pay attention in class.
O well, you live and you learn.

Never drink alcohol, or take illegal drugs. Don't try to prove your machismo by fighting. Break no laws. Don't trust every woman you meet. Know that many people are liars, so don't fall into their traps. Don't be friends with criminals, or drug addicts.
