do people spend sooo much time worrying about what other people think or about what is to come?

one of my favorite quotes is "It's no use analyzing your life the whole time. Those analyses won’t help you when you’re dead."- Michael Ryan Pritchard

For instance if someone tells you how depressing or awlful thier life is, you feel depressed about it all day? Even though your life really isn't that bad?

Is that wrong? You do not have to volunteer. But if you are negative you are gone. No exceptions.

IMHO, the US is bitter with the Middle East. IMHO, terrorist organizations are bitter with the West and the US.

Has anyone tried "offensive action" eg if there's a meeting coming up and some moron is going to push for some sort of office rearrangement that will greatly impede the project, arrange for his car to break down so he doesn't get to the meeting.
(I never do this, and very few people ever do or would, but it would seem justified)

A common sentiment in US culture is the claim that everyone has a right to his/her opinion. Individual beliefs, we are told, are to be respected. What is "fine" for you may not be "fine" for me, and, so long as no one is harmed, we should repect eachother's different beliefs. What is the best argument against this kind of reasoning?

Specifically, if most of humanity were wiped out tomorrow and assuming that I had managed to hang on to my laptop, where can I download all the information I would need to survive, preferably one package. And, yes, I know that I probably wouldn't be able to power my compy for long but let's just assume I found a whole ton of batteries.
