Who is Richard the Lion Hearted? Who is Abe Lincoln? If nothing else, life is a fair bit of fun. I have enjoyed many a chase of a fair maid, slept with quite a few also. Loved less then a handful and married one. Three children from who's eyes I get to see the life again in a different time. It matters, because even if this was all there was, it has been a hell of good ride. Get up, get out and live. And, if you are hurting at the moment, get up, get out and live. Life is well worth just the living. The work is to pay for the fun.

Oh, but all the fun and joy and sorrow and anger and disbelief and regret, and happiness is in how we get to a place and not how it begins or ends.

Consider this: The journey is more important the the end or the start.

How we end it doesn't matter. Don't think so far ahead in life that you miss all its experiences, good and bad and everything in between. Just think about now and today and forget about tomorrow because it comes too quickly.

Everything you do will forever be remembered in the hearts and minds of those around you, and the ones you touched the most. Besides, if nobody cared, the world will be much worse off. Just understand that life isn't pointless and not just a maze we randomly stroll through blindfolded.

You sound like you are having a bad day.

Stop wasting time then,
do with it what you will
It is not a waste to love
that love is felt by all
that love affects all

What you have learned is different from what you know

One goes through a time in their life when the questions are similiar to yours.
Some see it as the "dark night of the soul"

What are you going to do with how you feel
Wallow, or see something more than what you do right now.

Enjoy this time, you may be at a cross roads
Choose wisely
It will affect your life from this day forward

You have choice
What will you do with yours
I wonder

Blessings to you,
and know you are not alone.

The point in life is to live, love, and be happy (as Hallmark as that may be). If you do not have these requirements, then it is a tedious existence.

However, since you asked the question, you obviously haven't slit your wrists or anything. So... What does life (your life) mean to you?

To me, life is a game. I am 34 years old, and if I died tomorrow I would not regret anything I have done, or haven't had the chance to do yet. I have lived a full life, and will continue to do so as long as I am able.

It is the only game in town. Death is only an option.

If you really want to know what life and death is about, ask a terminally ill persons spouse. Life means one more hug or one more "I love you". Life means another chance to find a cure, or try another treatment. It means hope. It is the meaning of everything.

Stop and smell the roses, they say.
It's an archaic way of telling you, stop, look, listen to the world around you. Enjoy a flower or some sunshine.

Be as the dog, do not question your existence or it's importance, enjoy the sun.
Be like a cat, be wary, but laze about once in a while and take it easy.
There is no point, really, other than living.

We're trying to find the answers to everything because we couldn't possibly handle all of the answers at once if they were just given to us from the start. THAT is when you should really question the reason for existence. It would be too easy if we already knew everything. Discovery is what makes life more interesting.

Well if you have children you can pass on life to someone else ... that's a pretty big deal!

If you don't, then you can leave something else behind .... a poem, a song, a building, an empire, a garden ...

You're right. But nobody will ever believe that you -really- feel that way unless you off yourself.

There is no point to life except that which we, ourselves, give it.

And it's different for everybody.

Deal with it.

ahh what if life doesn't just end? What if goodness and justice really do matter? What about heaven and Hell? What do you really believe...there may be so much more you are seeking.

That's why we invented the afterlife.:)

No offense, but you need to get more involved. Get outside today and stop with the computer.
