That would just be the easy way out. Sort of like throwing in the towel......giving up without a fight. My husband ripped his achilles tendon on father's day. Due to his injury we have fallen behind drastically on all on our bills. We had to empty out our savings just to maintain. But now the maintain is not working. Since June we have been struggling. We are 2 months behind on our 1st and 2nd mortgage. We are 2 months behind on my lease payment. All our credit cards are more than 30 days past due. We barely have enough food to eat. We absolutely have no money to maintain. It makes me sad. Less than 5 months ago we had perfect credit, money saved and we were current on all of our debts. Now, though we are trying as hard as we can to catch up, creditors are calling all hours of the day...asking for their money. I hate this. It makes me angry. It would be easier to just say f**k it and run away, ignore it. To some death might be another option. True all the harassment will stop. Dead people do not need to repay their debts. But that is a cop out. I would never chose death as an option. "If there is a will there is a way!" I believe that. My husband believes that. We will never give up!

I don't think going to a place no one came back from is easier.
As for a dead body, it would feel nothing "may be"
It is completely mysterious.
Even if we believe in god, it is still so mysterious what will happen to us there because we all think that what we do is right, but according to god, where we good enough?
In life we know how painful being burned could be, But do we have any idea how painful it is there, in the other life?
We know how nice it could be to be in a cheerful place, such as a park, a beach, or a house. But do we have any idea how nice it could be there and what are we going to wear? And may be at the end there would be non of these expectations.

That maaaay be but really no one wants to die. I think most of us hold on to some kind of hope that things can work out for the best as long as we keep trying.
I think the people who lose hope are the ones who think they have no one to turn to.
That is why there is prayer and God and places like Crisis Clinic.
You know that would be a good blog site to set up for people who are discouraged in life.
After I post this I will see if I can find such sites.

It might be. Maybe that's why the people we see dead seem so at peace. All the stress and wrinkles seem to be released from there human shell. I won't know until I get there but I hope so. In the meantime, I've got a lot of living to do before I can make any comparison.

Hi Bex, we wont know if being dead is "easier" ,until we "Are" dead,- then-"Its too late". Nothing is that bad, after taking an overdose myself, because l felt life was "So bad", l was resuscitated,- and it changed my life completely- l had irreversible damage to my heart, and my family were so badly affected by my actions, that it changed their lives too, it changed their characters- which l am so truly sorry for- my beautiful carefree daughters, became sullen and moody, and l see them watching me even now, and l would never put them through that again. Had l succeeded ? then l would not have seen the damage l did to them. Please Anyone who feels so bad- talk to friends , family, someone on here, Anyone, but don't damage yourself and your family-like l did. Love Jo xx

probably not. The Tibetan book of the dead says there is a bunch of trials you have to endure before you are re-incarnated and then Christianity talks about purgatory and if life is so hard on you maybe try helping others make their lives easier before you consider checking out...you might find it a little easier to live.

Oh,Bex! - life can certainly be a challenge but even if it is hard most of the time we all have happy moments and hope for more in the future - and we're only here for a short time anyway relatively speaking.

i guess it's true but you have to have an honorable way to withdraw from the battle field. If the lord calls you back to the HQ then surely means that you withdraw honorably. life is a battle field, either you keep on fighting or you lose. lets keep on fighting till the end, we are the champions. keep the faith

Life is a lesson, the pain we suffer in life prepares us for death/the next life!
One thing about suffering bex, it makes you appreciate what you've got!

No, being dead offers far less options.
Having options is always better than not having options.
