Has anyone tried "offensive action" eg if there's a meeting coming up and some moron is going to push for some sort of office rearrangement that will greatly impede the project, arrange for his car to break down so he doesn't get to the meeting.
(I never do this, and very few people ever do or would, but it would seem justified)

Address it with the person at the next meeting and with everyone there.

It's just a job though. It's easy to get way too caught up in day to day stuff. My superiors would never allow something that impedes my ability to do my job. Maybe you aren't letting the right people now what will happen and how.

If your company/workplace can get derailed by one individual, the problem is not that individual - the problem is the company/workplace.

Someone at your company needs to learn how to manage people, run effective meetings, and/or learn to speak for themselves. This would be far more effective on the long term than vandalism, sabatoge, or maiming fellow employees.

Besides, he/she may have the same opinion about you. Do you want to guard your car all night?

That's silly. They wouldn't even see the connection (or causality) between the events. It'd never occur to them that someone not liking their idea was the reason that their car broke down.

Just catch them in the parking lot and beat the s.h.i.t. out of them. That way there's no doubts or confusion in their minds as to what happened or why.
