My dad was a hippie/rocker/artistic type. He was heavy on the drugs and alcohol my entire life...it's what killed him a few years ago. I have a suitcase full of drawings and poetry that he had done. I also have quite a few notebooks of his...most of it's brilliant, but some of it he was clearly stoned out of his mind and just rambling. I was reading through this one notebook last night (he had given it to me a long time ago) and I came across one page that looked interesting. I can tell he was messed up when he wrote it (I can barely make out his handwriting and he loses his train of thought a bit...also, when he's messed up he likes to use a swear word every other word), but I think he was going somewhere with it...what do you think he was trying to say? Here it is exactly (well, as exact as it'll get considering I can hardly read it):

“Different forms of temptation go into temptation, if you follow me. If you know something is bad and you know if you even look at it you will jump in feet first, why look at it? By the way, we're not talking about will power, that's a different book. But it just doesn't make any sense. It's human nature. But, we're suppose to turn from our nature and do what's right because our nature is wrong. Is that our fault? I don't think so.

It doesn't seem fair. I guess because it's not. I know people aren't (a word that I can't make out) not suppose to do what I like to do. I'm suppose to do what everyone else want's me to? I don't think so.

Why? I believe that's a question no one can answer.

Just my imagination/“

Thanks! Oh, and I didn't really know what category to put this under...but, I figured here is as good as any.

Why is it us who are here? Why was I specifically born and not someone else? Same with you... Just chance or were we meant to be here? And why be here if we die and remember nothing anyway? Thats to say if there is no afterlife.

Staff need to be pampered and to have great freedom.

Inevitable that you recruit someone who will misconstrue the job.

When I first started this experiment I though this is hopeless. So far you have not had the courage it takes to break away from what mom taught you. Do not bother argueing with that statement. This is what I am going to accomplish.
I have started a new virsion of religion. It is not completely different. Only the names have been changed.
God will be ME. It replaces I AM. Christ will be Abel. He replaces Jesus, Allah, Jehovah, Sinbad etc. The virgin has yet to be identified. The closest I have come is Madonna.
Everyone will take their beliefs and forget them.
I will appoint a third unidentified someone to be the "last word". Jesus blew it.
Then we go to court. Our collective defense will be; "We did not have a fair trial by jury". Therefore our conviction is unconstitutional.
I will motion the third party for a ruling. Then we sit and wait.
Don't do anything it will only stall our aquittal. We must get a stay.

What did the Earth look like? Where did people get the materials to start building things. Where did people get materials to invent things?

Where did inventions come from without materials before humans were born?

Not just human life, all of life. I think it is all one big mistake.

I don't know where life came from, it is all fuzzy and static to me.

When is my life going to be over so I can rest in peace?

Play all the word games you want to. No one knows if there is a god or not anymore than an ant knows why he was stepped on. Why would a person who has accidently fallen out of an airplane dismiss the possibility of finding a parachute on the way down? That would be suicide.

Are you telling me that as soon as human dies that is it. No more living. Nothing at all. So what we are experience now is because we are alive, and after we die there is nothing else, we won't experience nothing.

Don't you think we are going to be alive again some other way. There has to be some other way. Life just can't just end at death.

I chose based on your answers to believe that it's all created in us and it's not an actual reality.

And I think my believe in created imagination (not necessarily of my mind but of higher kind) is even stronger than believe in god(like jesus and any others).

What do you think?
