Have you ever read Oedipus Rex? Its a play by Sophocles. In it there is a theory that children at a young age have feelings for the opposite sex. Like, if you are a little boy you will have sexual feelings for your mother and even violent feelings towards your father because he "has" your mother. Jim Morrison started chanting this during a concert once "F*ck the mother, kill the father" and his manager started freaking out.

What do you think about something like this? Crazy, isn't it?

What if I am doing nothing wrong?
What if I am good, just the way I am?
What if I can be loved 'because of' and not 'despite of'?
What if i am really fine, right now, and don't need to change?
What if I have nothing to apologize for?
What if I have nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed about?
What if, I was and am doing good?

Then I would feel no anxiety...
Then I would not talk to you, cause you make me feel bad...
Then I would be relaxed and confident....
Then I would NOT believe that deep down, I am bad....
Then i would believe in myself and my purpose...
Then I would feel comfortable standing up for myself...
Then I would trust myself, no matter what...

I have come upon a new state of mind, in my life. The discovery
of wealth, that is generated first in the human mind. Now I
feel like I can overcome obstacles, that is very difficult to most.
The odds were stacked against me, and I realize that faith
moves mountains. And the human spirit, must be optimistic,
if it wants to move on. Because your words can make, or brake
you. In other words, being positive is better than being negative,
although it is much harder. But hey, that is life. So does
anybody out there, think that I have potential ? Do you think
that one day, I will be rich ?

I keep hearing 'Money can't buy happiness', usually from people who haven't got any. In my experience, no you can't buy happiness, but having money sure does help. To be able to buy things you need (like food or a home) gives a sense of well being and safety.
What does money give to you?

Although it is worded differently, the questionable thought is a repetitive question surfacing, and yet, there is no right or wrong answers to it. The answers are all opinion based answers. With the many answers/opinions given, there is a variety of views as to how each and every one of us interprets the question(s) to form our opinions/answers. Are the answers chosen by logic, common sense, fact or what we believe the answer should be and is it Fate that brings this question or any repetitive question back to the Question Board or is it based on their Free-will?

In light of My question, I do hope there can be a closure for this repetitive question and questions alike, to be answered for those who are in search for that final answer.

okay is anyone else tired of these people who are giving completely straight answers on the philosophy section? this is philosophy, it is different to everyone and all answers are indefinate, that is why SOME people shouldn't even try philosophy because their brains just can't understand that sometimes it is better that there are many answers instead of one...that is why the world is beautiful to us....
