Wow- I AM a pragmatic optimist!!!! It means that you are a person who, while liking to believe the best in every situation and thinking positively about mankind in general, is also rather practical and slightly opinionated about the "correct" way of doing things. Regular optimists tend to just sort of go with the flow and believe that everything will turn out just fine, and traditional pragmatists tend to follow some sort of plan or routine that they have laid out for themselves in an attempt to live a practical life filled with order, organization and purpose, but it takes a true pragmatic optimist to hope for the best possible scenario while making practical contingency plans in case their original plan falls through.
