If by "monotheletism" you actually mean monotheism, then the oldest known record of a monotheistic religion - ie the worship of one god, forsaking all others - is to be found in Akhenaten's Egypt : about 2500 B.C. he imposed the worship of Re, the sun-god, as state religion in ancient Egypt. Some researchers claim that the Hebrew tradition of "prophetic" monotheism was influenced, to some extent, by Akhenaten's then-revolutionary idea.
