80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.

I've come to two conclusions recently:

1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.

First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.

Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasurable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.

Life is our chance to effect the world in whatever way we can, be it physically or not. Everyones existence has a role in the world. We all do things that have knock-on effects. Some may say life is the trial up till death and others treat life as crucially important, and i dont know is you've seen the film Saw, but some think that those who dont appreciated life. Should be relived from it.

a never ending learning experience. It is a journey that we are all trying to take. Each has his/her own path and must find the right way. We earn our treasure find some people to keep us company along the way. Encountering many obstacles along the way, we are constantly learning about ourselves and the ways of others. There is a need to improve your path, to make it a little easier for you to follow, we want to leave our path better than how we found it (just in case someone else needs to cross it). No two paths are the same and no two people should try to follow anyone Else's. Life IS a path, sometimes people loose sight of the path they should be on, but not many of us look forward to the end of the path.

life is what you make of it, You create your own destiny and only you can say what road you take and choose to follow. We all have one life and it is now, so live for today and pray for tomorrow. Make the best of it and be happy, don't dwell in sorrow because the past you can not change, but there is still hope for today.

I think the past is an abstract thought - it is in your mind, it already happened. The future is also an abstract thought - it only exists in your mind, it hasn't happened yet. The present is just the infinitly small time between past and future. So, actual reality only exists in one's mind - reality is actually abstract thought.

Life is.
